GTTC Nkambe Going (1)

By Fai Cassian Ndi
Government Teacher Training College Nkambe, a one-time citadel of standards is reported desperately in need of divine intervention. In fact according to what we gathered, GTTC Nkambe may have been sacrificed by those who are at their pits because the vision that puts to doubt the long established notion that this institution is, was and will be the window of education in Donga Mantung Division is wallowing in the gutter. The one-time most admirable institution which stood the taste of time and was the pride of the entire division, its students, staff and ex-students has been sparked by an irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate of, the not-quite being evident, the not-yet, and the not-at-all wobbly warning. Classified sources in Yaounde pinpointed at weekend that a recent control mission to that school confirmed the long established notion but not mismanagement anyway.  According to information gathered, circumstances may perhaps put to question the present state of nature of the school given the tons of petitions ignited by conflict of interests. The staffing situation keeps dropping and standards too. Of late, the control team from Yaounde reported the master-spice to the ups and downs. Yet an atmosphere of uncertainty looms large. Some say, it is because some teachers claim to be so important while others claim to be so imposing but before the cock crows that hidden truth may not be pocketed. (Up next part II)
