Musical Revelation of the Year: Meet Share 'On, The Female Golden Voice

Shar'On: Wimbum is got Talent

Talk about Revelation of the year in the Cameroon music industry, the first name that comes to mind this year is Shar’On (Share On).  Known by her childhood name as Konfor Sharone, this young and gifted rising celebrity who hails from Mbot village in Donga Mantung of North West Region has a unique voice that could only be likened to the likes Angelique Kidjo, Charlotte Dipanda and or Grace Decca. Her golden voice is what makes her a “lavender” of the microphone. Listening to her latest sound track Ahweh is like listening to the echoing voice of the little nightingale at sunrise. Her field of composition is inimitable, unique and full of splendor as her golden voice accompanies the music to the reawakening of the soul.
She could easily be described as young girl with a visible enthusiasm for music; and the endowment to sing. To say she is a lyricist is just to use the weakest diction ever to describe a genius. In fact, she is socially conscious in music, which she says it is “the most expressive art form” to laud God and praise Him. This is expressed in most of her songs which dig deep into issues that affect life and living.  Performing with other musicians at parties has been a real school” for her just like singing with her siblings at home has been tutorial to her nurture in music.
Shar’ On sings in Limbum, English and French. Currently living in Douala where she is in pursuit of a rising musical career, Shar’On has written several thought-provoking, inspiring, and stimulating songs. The ones any good producer would love to put his mark on yet on the wait. Her latest sound track (personal production) is a deep and reflective sound that celebrates God’s love. In many of her songs she highlights the challenges we all face as men, women, and kids to the point that each verse is dedicated to a category – men, women, and kids in that order. “I really don’t want to classify myself under any genre of music because I enjoy all and can express myself in most. But if I have to choose I should say R&B, Makossa, world etc” she says.
Listening to her for the first time would definitely put you on repeat. It will move your heart, soul, body, and mind as it is not only inspiring but very groovy. Laced with the beguiling ingenuity touches of Drumbeatz and graced with her charming voice make her songs soul stirring and emotional. Her latest video which also features the miraculous touches of Switch Entertainment is trending on the social media and putting her on top of the pros. If you are a producer and looking for a world class budding talent, get closer to Shar’ On. She is the musical lilac heading for the world chart.
