After
last Sunday coup in Central Africa Republic by the Seleka rebels, ousted President François Bozizé went
to the DRC in a
helicopter but according to what we gathered, Kinshasa would not have accepted this cumbersome parcel on
Congolese territory. Sources say François Bozizé took
off for Cameroon. Upon landing in Batouri,
he was received by the Senior Divisional
Officer and was later escorted by elements of BIR to Yaounde on Monday night where he will settle in one of the hotels. The Secretary General at the Presidency
of the Republic Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh sources say
paid him a courtesy visit. Yet sources say the ousted President has been given
just three days to stay on Cameroon territory before moving out.
Some of his former cabinet ministers are reported to have been
spotted in the economic capital Douala. They
too have move into a hotel
in the capital city for their safety.President's family it is alleged has been spotted in the DRC, Congolese authorities have confirmed. According to the spokesman of the government, Bozize’s family sought for asylum and it was granted for "humanitarian reasons."
