Appointment of 30 Senators: Biya Compensates Old Allies, NUDP (2), MDR(1), FSNC(1)

 By Fai Cassian Ndi
The configuration of the senate is now complete with the appointment of 30 senators. Out of the 30 senators appointed today May 8, 2011, the National Union for Democracy and Progress of Bello Bouba Maigari has been compensated with two senatorial seats; Daikole Daissala was also appointed senator on the ticket of his party MDR while a militant of Issa Tchiroma’s FSNC was also appointed. It is therefore clear that five political parties will be represented in the senate. The CPDM has 82 senators, SDF 14, NUDP 2, MDR 1 and FSNC 1 senator. Only the CPDM and the SDF will have a senate group.

  1. These people were not appointed because they belong to CPDM or allied parties but because of their rich experience. With this experience they will doubtlessly lead our senate conveniently and confidently.
