One of the most successful African footballers in history, and without doubt one of the greatest players of the Premier League era, Didier Drogba has detailed in a book an account of his life before stardom.
The book he says, promises an interesting and honest account of his heartbreaking separation from his homeland at the age of five, his unsettled formative years moving around France as an immigrant before his first breaks at Mans and Guincamp.
It also reveals a precocious talent which came through in a stunning season at Marseillles and finally a £24m move to Chelsea.
Consultant Editor at Hodder & Stoughton, Roddy Bloomfield, has acquired World Rights for Didier Drogba’s autobiography from The Sports PR Company and David Luxton Associates, to be published in October 2015. The book is titled 'Commitment'.
Roddy Bloomfield said: "Apart from Didier Drogba’s long and spectacular football career he has a most impressive record of achievements as someone who cares passionately about the world’s underprivileged. Hodder are thrilled to be publishing his unusually gripping and inspirational story."
Read all the details about the book on its official page which you can pre-order on Amazon.com
