Cameroon National Youth Council Rewards Excellence

The second edition of the Youth Week of Excellence ended in Misaje Sub Division on a successful note. Present in Misaje were National President of  the Cameroon National Youth Council, Mudi Jean Mc Afesi who was flanked by NW Regional President. Addressing the Youths at the groundbreaking event, the National President Mudi Jean Mc Afesi, praised the Divisional President CNYC Donga Mantung ABANDA Marcel for being an exemplary leader. He CNYC Donga Mantung inspired and challenged others nationwide to show their dynamism reasons why he honoured the invitation to  attend the Award ceremony of the Youth Week of Excellence. Jean Mac said the good practices of Donga Mantung should be implemented throughout Cameroon and enjoined the Regional President North West Vincent Ihimbru Bache do so in all the Divisions of North West. Mudi Jean Mac said Donga Mantung CNYC Bureau was doing excellently well.

Receiving the National President and Delegation, the Fon of Nkambe was very happy, decorated  him with the title of Murli, Meaning Elite Son of Nkambe   

In his welcome speech, the Divisional President Abanda Marcel, said “for our two years in office now without a franc from the State, CNYC Donga Mantung with their little efforts, support from Friends and Partners have been able to contribute to the fight against climate change, Manual maintenance and rehabilitation of some roads Source and provides of scholarship to youths throughout the Division, Formation, orientation and re-organizations of some youth groups in the Division, Sensitization, mobilization and active participation in some public manifestations and organized a one week capacity building toward and to celebrates the International Youth day, African Youth, workshop on health and HIV/AIDS, Sensitization Fight against Terrorism and a match in support of the Head of State fight against terrorism, Ebola Threat, carried capacity building and youth conferences in some villages, created and running a face book page and profile for communication with over 10.000 friends, runs a one hour capacity building program “Youth Empowerment” on the Donga Mantung Community Radio Nkambe, and attended meetings/workshop in and out of the Division among many other achievements this year, these in line with the objectives, vision and Mission of the Cameroon National Youth Council.

He continue  that the Kimbi/fungong game reserve which Donga Mantung is part of it, and it may soon go operational fully, he requested for the Service or Delegations of Tourism and leisure, Art and Culture, and communication to consolidate these great opportunities for the benefit of this community and the youth. He thanks to the head of state H.E President Paul Biya for the 3 years strategic development plan, and wish that the tarring of the road from Kumbo to around Akweto junction road was part of that 3 years plan, and that Donga Mantung is very ready now for our Savannah Region, so that Misaje will be a full Division.

The Misaje Communal Bureau President was decorated as the most effective president of the Year.

Youth, Youth leaders and Association received cash, kind prizes and award of Excellence for their activities on the Field.
