Marie-Noel Manjuh |
Rudyard Kipling in one of his
inspirational quotes said that “if you can keep your head when all around you
are losing theirs and if you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat the
two the same, yours is earth and everything that is in it”. There is no doubt that Kipling had in mind
the success story of the brilliant young
girls who have stood the taste of time to accomplish their dreams. Rudyard
Kipling surely had this inspiration from the obstacles and barriers young girls
repeatedly defeat to get to prominence especially in a masculine dominated
world. At a time when most young girls are chopping their fingers dreaming of
obtaining Advanced level subjects, Marie-Noel Manjuh is kilometers ahead.
Manjuh just finished off her Accountancy degree at the University Buea-UB in
flying colurs.
Celebrations were at fever peak as her
family members and friends joined her at weekend to rejoice over the milestone
achievement. In the past, when the education of the girl child was a taboo, she
would have dropped out of school after finishing primary school due to the
obnoxious traditional practices. Marie-Noel’s success story will continue to
inspire many young girls to understand the first husband a woman gets in life
is education. Full with joy after passing these years away from her family, she
attributes her rare achievements to her family. Achieving such a great feat
through all the hard conditions is worth memorizing for posterity. Despite the
challenges she wasn’t distracted from her goals and Shang Delphine remarks that
she’s “very proud” of her dearest sister.
What
manifestly catches your attention when you see Marie-Noel is her outstanding elegance.
Being a good-natured accountant is that she knows only too well what is good.
Yet she never hesitates to put on the best outfits, the most fashionable, the
flashiest and the snazziest of shoes. Take it for audaciousness and you are off
beam because you won’t fail to turn behind to look at her again in admiration
that she is really prepared for her job as an accountant. But there is more to
this substantial personality that Manjuh is than just stylishness. Her name
speaks nobility. This is principally so
when we take into consideration her brilliant educational background and the
efforts she deployed to stand out of the madding crowd of women in school.
Education has no limit, from an accountant to an economist is not rolled out as
she is still young and more very brilliant. What is important about this female
young graduate is that her intelligence is a relic which makes her a webster. I
won’t hesitate to declare she is a genius. She falls within the ranks of the
new breed of young women born with extra abilities. So if we go by Albert
Einstein’s description of genius of 1/10 inspiration and 9/10
perspiration, Marie Noel is a genius.
