The Member of Parliament for Donga
Mantung Centre cum Questor in the bureau of the Cameroon National Assembly has
enjoined the women of Njap for their contributions in sustaining village
development. Hon. Awudu Mbaya called on the women
to remain united, have love for one another, respect for their husbands and the
fon of the village. He cautioned them on the phenomenon of climate change and
how farming in water catchments and “slash and burnt” commonly known as Ankara are
agents of that have negative impacts on the climate.He also called on everyone in the village to be vigilant and warned against rampant bush fire.
The
over 500 women, it should be noted came to thank the Member of Parliament for the
numerous sacrifices he did to them especially the construction of the “njuh”
hall.
