Poultry Farmers Take to the Street in Yaounde

Thousands of poultry farmers took to the street in the nation's capital Yaounde to express their plight over government nonchalant attitude on the recent outbreak of bird flu that has render thousands helpless. The poultry farmers carried placards that expressed their anger over the closure of the Yaounde poultry market. The farmers were backed up by "buyam sellam, pluckers" and all those that are involved in the chain. The protest march it should be noted was led by political activist Bernard Njonga, President of CRAC who doubles as ACDIC President.  (PhotoNews)
