Ministry of Territorial Administration: Paul Atanga Nji Installed

Paul Atanga Nji who was appointed as the new Minister of Territorial Administration has been installed by the Prime Minister and Head of Government Yang Philemon. The installation ceremony took place today March 5, 2018 at the conference hall of that Ministry. Minister Paul Atanga Nji was installed alongside the Elanga Obam Georges, (the new Minister of Decentralisation and Local Development).

In his installation speech, PM Yang Philemon called on the two newly appointed ministers to be diligent in their duties in order to efficiently speed up the decentralisation process in Cameroon.

Minister Paul Atanga Nji was told to work hard to oversee hitch-free senatorial elections on March 25 as well as the other three elections coming up.

He was also tasked to work in collaboration with security forces to secure the territorial integrity of the nation especially against the waves of Boko Haram attacks in the Far North and the uprisings in the English-Speaking regions of the country. Reports say hundreds traveled from far and near to witnessed the solemn occasion in the Ministry of Territorial Administration and also the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development.
