The International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) has extended
for four months
the mandate of the Normalization Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation
(FECAFOOT). The mandate of the team led by Maitre Happi expired on 31 August 2018;
however FIFA has made public its decision for the latter to continue its
activities until December 2018 when election of a new executive at the head of
the FECAFOOT will take place.
Appointed on August 23, 2017 for
a six-month term, the Normalisation Committee had benefited from a six-month
extension last February by FIFA, this extension being the third.
The mission assigned by FIFA to the Committee
consisted of drawing up the new statutes, reviewing the statutes as well as
managing the day-to-day affairs and organizing the elections of a new executive
committee of FECAFOOT
