MINPOSTEL Debunks Alleged Gov't Plans to Suspend Internet Services


The Cameroonian Minister of Post and Telecommunications (Minpostel), Minette Libom Li Likeng has debunked allegations that there is existence of a government project to suspend Internet service in the country from October 7 to 9, 2018, during the presidential election.
Notwithstanding, several posts circulated on social networks quoting the  Minister of Post and Telecommunications as saying that there is going to be suspension of Internet services across the country, from October 7 to 9, 2018. That’s fake news,” Minpostel writes. The minister said such publications were intended to tarnish and to falsely blame Cameroonian authorities
