Yes, he is a good man. An African proverb teaches us that a friend in need is a friend indeed. This is a proverb that says a true friend is someone who helps you when you are in trouble rather than one who leaves you to yourself in time of need. Most of the time, a friend in need is a friend indeed is quoted as a wise saying or is said when describing a helpful thing someone did, as in last sitiation where Hon. Agho Oliver criss-crossed from Bafut to Bambui extending his parliamentary largess to those in need. In his usual expedient in reaching out to the people, the Honourable Member of Parliament for Bafut/ Bafut was in Bambui, on the invitation of Bambui Women Cultural and Development Association. The women led by their President Mundi Florence were raising funds for the construction of Bambui Women Empowerment Center and in his usual largess, Hon. Agho announced his support to the tune of 500.000 frs.
The fon of Bambui took the microphone, and said that Hon. Agho has done so much in Bamnui village. "In the heat of the crises, you provided 2000 roofing sheets to those whose houses were razed down, you given scholarships to our children here, you supported the construction of local bridges just to name a few and even just yesterday, when the entire village came out to clean the council premises and schools, you again in your usual gestures provided savon for everyone who turned out. Today is the first day to step your feet in this palace and we can not let you go. The Ngombah and myself will crown you. Please we are begging you to accept this title from the BAMBUI Fondom. Henceforth, you are the ‘mNtum-for’’for the BAMBUI FON." The Fon's pronouncement was unanymously accepted by everyone. To Mundi Florence, Ntumfon Agho Oliver's title is well deserved because he merits it.
The head of the Bambui Kwifon hinted that, the fact that Ntumfon Agho Oliver was decorated by the Kwifon in public symbolizes nobility and greatness. Henceforth he is Spokesperson of Bambui palac and Fon's messenger. This is following his coronation as Ntumfon on Saturday August 12, 2023.
HRH Fon Angafor Moo-boo III of Bambui took everyone by surprised at the General Assembly of the BAMBUI Women’s Cultural and Development Association.
It should be noted that this weekend Ntumfon Hon. Agho Oliver had a very busy schedule. At Njibujang Cultural and Development Association’s General Assembly in Bafut, he dole out 500.000 frs to support the water project in the presence of Commissioner Awunti Ghejung. He used the AGM to call on Sons and daughters of Njibujang to send back their children to school and distinguish themselves as law abiding citizens. Comm. Awunti Ghejung equally supported with 200.000frs while the Mayor of Bafut who was unavoidably absent chipped in 100.000frs. Ngwabumba Pascal, National President of NJIBCUDA expressed gratitude to the MP for the timely support. He said Hon. Agho Oliver is a very good man indeed.
