Chief S M L Endeley is No More

The Paramount ruler of the Bakweri people in the South West Region of Cameroon is no more. Chief Samuel Moka Lifafa Endeley IV was about 92 years. His majesty Samuel Moka Lifafa Endeley IV was the 10th ruler to occupy the throne in 1982 following the death of his uncle Mbella Endeley III. It should be noted that Chief Endeley was a degree holder in pharmaceutical sciences from Nigeria. Yet many Cameroonians knew him as a lawyer. In 1959 he obtained a diploma law in London, England as well. In 1966, he was appointed chief justice of the high court in the former West Cameroon. He held this position until the reunification of the two territories. He also was the first anglophone Cameroonian to sit as judge in the Supreme Court. Chief Endeley died as a career politician.
