BoMAG Triumphs in Nkambe Pool Final of Mafor Yah Judith Peace and Unity Tournament

In a nail-biting showdown at the Nkambe Municipal Stadium, BoMAG Football Club emerged victorious over Iron Boyz in the Nkambe Pool Final of the Mafor Yah Judith Sunday Epse Achidi Peace and Unity Tournament for Donga Mantung. The match, which ended in a 1-1 draw during regular time, was decided by post-match penalty kicks, with BoMAG clinching the win in dramatic fashion.

The tournament, now in its fourth edition, has become a hallmark of community cohesion and youth empowerment in Cameroon’s Northwest Region. Spearheaded by Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi, General Manager of CAMTEL and revered daughter of Donga Mantung, the initiative uses football as a vehicle for peacebuilding, unity, and social development.
This year’s edition saw participation of teams across the five subdivisions of Donga Mantung—Ako, Ndu, Nkambe, Nwa, and Misaje—drawing thousands of spectators and dignitaries. The Nkambe Pool Final was no exception, with fans flooding the stadium in a vibrant display of support, traditional music, and cultural pride.

BoMAG’s victory not only secures their place in the divisional finals but also symbolizes the power of sport to transcend local rivalries and foster solidarity. Iron Boyz, despite their defeat, were lauded for their spirited performance and sportsmanship.
