Akufo-Addo made the declaration as he delivered stinging criticisms about some churches which he accused of being everything but what a church should be.
The Ghanaian president, speaking at a synod of the Global Evangelical Church at the University of Ghana, remarked that the church is becoming “a pale shadow of what it used to be generations ago.”

Court Orders President Trump To Unblock Critics On Twitter

A court ruling on Wednesday has ordered President Donald Trump to unblock critics on Twitter with the claim that he can’t shut out opposing viewpoints.
A federal district court judge in May ruled that blocking people from the president’s @realDonaldTrump account violated First Amendment free speech rights in a case brought by The Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. The seven people named in the suit were unblocked as the decision was appealed.
The institute tweeted on Wednesday that it had gotten word that many people on a list of 41 more Twitter users it had given to the Department of Justice had also been unblocked by @realDonaldTrump.
“We’re pleased to see the White House take steps to comply with the district court’s ruling that the First Amendment prohibits the president from blocking Twitter users simply because they have criticized him,” the institute said.
“However, we continue to receive reports that individuals beyond those we identified remain blocked from the @realDonaldTrump account.”
The institute argued that it was incumbent on the White House to immediately unblock any Twitter users shut off from the president’s account because of political viewpoints.
The Justice Department in June vowed to appeal the ruling, which the institute expressed confidence in defending.

Apostle Suleiman Rubbishes Comedians Who are Using Jesus to Crack Jokes

Apostle Suleiman

The senior pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman has expressed disappointment with Nigerian comedians who take delight in using Jesus Christ to crack jokes.
The man of God also dared them to use Mohammed to crack jokes and see what will come out of it.
He urged Christians to stand up in defence of the church against such comedians. The man of God insisted that many comedians make jokes about Jesus knowing very well that Christians will not react violently to it.
”No regard. Imagine comedians will be cracking jokes and using Jesus for joke, calling Jesus Bros J and a pastor doesn’t go to the altar and give him sound slap. Can you joke with Mohammed like that? They will kill you,” he said

_________________

WACUDA Has received disturbing information of the escalation of land dispute conflicts between Ntumbaw and Njirong, 2 brotherly villages of Njep Warr today the 27th August 2018.

WACUDA notes with regret that this conflict has escalated to the extent that people are wounded, houses burnt and cars destroyed; and it all started at Mbaw Rong around  the disputed  piece of land in question.

WACUDA calls on the 2 villages to immediately stop further escalation of the violence which may lead to further loss of lives.

WACUDA calls on the 2 Fons and leaders of both villages to exercise restraint and keep calm, so that we chart the way forward to a peaceful sustainable solution to this land dispute while respecting the rule of law as well as our cultural manner of managing such disputes.

WACUDA calls on the religious leaders to pray hard and act through mediation as well.

WACUDA equally calls on the other Fons of Njep Warr as well as Mbumland to play active roles in finding peaceful means of resolving this issue.

WACUDA also strongly requests the Administrative Authorities of Donga- Mantung to manage this conflict diligently through peaceful means; and not by the use of excessive force through cracking down on the innocent villagers of the villages concerned.

WACUDA pleads with the people of the 2 villages to respect the Administrative Authorities while putting across their points of view  and facts of the matter.

WACUDA requests the elite of the 2 villages to use their high level knowledge of solving problems by advising our brothers and sisters to take heart and give peace a chance to resolve the problem for the good of these 2 villages.

WACUDA calls on the  Wimbum Cultural and Development Association (WICUDA) to play their role of the peaceful management and resolution of such conflicts in Mbumland.

WACUDA prays the Almighty God to intervene as we look for ways and means of solving this problem.

On Behalf of WACUDA,
