Achu Kingsley, the Regional Councilor for Misaje has given scholarships to all the pupils in classes 5 and 6 of Government School Mbissa, GSS Kameni and all the Form 5 students at Government Secondary school Akweto. The handing over ceremony took place at Government School Mbissa and Government Secondary school Akweto in the presence of teachers and students. At GSS Akweto, Achu Kingsley handed a total sum of FCFA 142,500 to the bursar, which was the school fees for all the 19 students in Form 5. In talk with the students he said that everyone they see moving in a big car is due to the fact that the person went to school. " To get to that level, you have to study hard. If you are educated and you have a good job, you will be respected, even your husband or wife I like you more" he continued.
At GSS Kameni, Achu Kingsley paid school fees for students to the tune of FCFA 105,000. To the young girls in all the schools, he advised them that if anyone comes and is asking their hand in marriage, they should tell the person that what she needs is a book, pen or school fees not marriage.
Before handing over the scholarship, he called on students to be respectful to the teachers and parents. He equally used the opportunity to caution student against violence in school and added that education is key to the world. At GSS Mbissa, he paid the school fees for all the pupils of classes 5 and 6.
It is worth mentioning that Achu Kingsley was flanked during the trip to Mbissa and Akweto by the Inspector of Basic Education for Misaje, Tamfu Austin and CPDM section executive for Donga Mantung IV, Misaje. It should be recalled that earlier on November 6, Achu Kingsley handed over a consignment of Personal Protection Equipment to the health units in Misaje sub Division. In addition, he also donated schools bags and exercise books that were shared to students in all the nine secondary schools in the sub Division
