Ngwakongoh Lawrence Elected Mayor of Bafut

Ngwakongoh Lawrence

He is likely the youngest person ever in the North West to be elected mayor. Ngwakongoh Lawrence is a household name in the North West Region. The one-time North West President of ACDIC is one of the rare species of young leaders with character and conscience. This young dynamic civil Engineer is God fearing and he puts God ahead of everything he does. His attachment to the good Shepherd Orphanage in Bamenda made him one of the lavenders of all young men in development work. Prospects are high in Bafut that Ngwakongoh Lawrence will certainly accomplish what Lansi Abel left undone in that municipality. He will have to work relentlessly to open up farms to market roads to get to the production basins of lower Bafut and the hilly lands of Afotungobah. As young as he is, Lawrence will work with the newly elected Member of Parliament for Bafut/Tubah Agho Oliver to foster development efforts. Commentators are of the opinion that the peer could ignite hope in the youths and give more room for the young to express their frustrations in order to seek lasting solutions to their numerous problems.
