The member of Parliament for Bafut/Tubah Constituency has donated cartons of sugar and tea to Muslem Communities in Sabga during this period of fasting. Hon. Agho Oliver handed to gift to beneficiaries during a fun-filled ceremony at weekend. Before handing over the gift to the beneficiaries, Hon. Agho Oliver used the occasion to express gratitude to the population of Sabga for voting him into Parliament. Sabga, he revealed that Sabga gave him over 3000 votes during the last Legislative elections. " While I came campaigning here, they promised they were going to vote for me massively. They voted massively and i got over 3000 votes from here. So it was normal I should come and say thank you", he continued. He also took time to reecho government measures to stop the spread of coronavirus. Hon. Agho equally donated face masks to the muslem community of Sabga to enable stay safe. To the young dynamic MP, the time for CPDM versus SDF politics is over. " This is time for development politics", he added.

Impressed by the donation and kind gesture, the Lamido of Sabga, Mamoudo Abdoulaye said Hon. Agho has proven beyond reasonable doubts that he is a servant leader. "We are happy and we thank our MP for this kind gesture. The muslem community will be able to break fasting by drinking this tea and sugar" he concluded. Worthy to note that Hon. Agho Oliver before leaving Sabga also paid an impromptu visit at the Sabga Baptist Health Center where he doled out FCFA 300.000 to support the payment of bills to the benefit of some stranded patients. To Dr. Emmanuel Dimla, the chief medical officer, the MP is the most practical politician of all politicians in action. He reiterated that the major problem in Sabga is that it is made up of the poorest of the poor and this gesture from the MP is the first of it kind and one that will save many lives. Martin Tanjonng, the Mayor of Tubah and Ngwakongho Lawrence, Mayor of Bafut council who accompanied the MP during the trip. The mayor of Tubah Council, Martin Tanjong also reassured the population that the council will work hand in hand with the MP and populace to enhance participatory development. On his part, the mayor of Bafut Council said the Bafut/Tubah Constituency has boarded the train for development and they rely on the population and other stakeholders to join the audacity of a new generation.
It is worth mentioning that a month ago, Hon. Agho donated over 2000 sheets of zinc to 37 households in the Bafut/ Tubah constituency. As a young man in politics, the MP for Bafut/ Tubah is changing the political trends in Mezam and the entire North West Region. Many young men and women now look up to him as their inspiring gist. His exemplary development orientations can be pictured from the fact that Hon. Oliver has decided that he will share his microgrant project money equally between Tubah and Bafut for the people to manage it themselves and only give him results. Development, he says shall be bottom/ top inorder to get everybody involved in project execution and ownership.
