At about 3pm today Nkambe town came to standstill. The main streets from end of tar to the Nkambe grandstand was jam-packed with people. Even the most smoothly faces had twisted lines. It was an invasion of sorrows. Everyone was in the street to welcome home the mortal remains of a greatman, hero and Prince of the Nkambe palace. Jujus flooded the streets and not even the sound of a bird could be heard when he hearse stepped on the tar.
Pa Mbeh Wilfred Shey was received by thousands back home. He passed away on December 7, 2020. He was a great man, husband, father, grandfather, friend, mentor, development lumimary and refined politician. He lived an incredible and admirable life. He was a man of God, a faithful family man, a loyal and trusted friend to many, a wise leader, a compassionate retired police inspector, and the visionary. He will be greatly missed, but will be remembered often, and never forgotten. He leaves the people of Donga Mantung with great memories, and has also built into us lessons and examples that we will carry with us. Thousands turned out today to express their thanks to him for his impact and influence that he leaves with them. Donga Mantung has lost a truly great man. It is so sudden. The deep pains could be seen on the forehead of everyone including the jujus.
