Former CPDM mayor for Misaje Council Nkenda Simon Sunde, who crossed the carpet to join ANDP has back paddled to join the winning team. Nkenda Simon Sunde and hundreds of his followers joined thousand others to celebrate the 40th anniversary of President Biya accession to the helm of the nation. With his return to the CPDM, there is no more an opposition in Misaje. Popular opinion in Misaje holds that the CPDM will remain unbeatable in Misaje. Many have applauded the initiative by Prof. Fuh Calistus Gentry, Secretary of State for Miness, Industries and Technological Development to give dialogue a change for the welfare of his people. The return of Nkenda Simon expressionists say is a clear indication of the fact that the shoulders can never be above the head.
