Jesus Christ's Tomb Opened for First Time in 500 Years - See What is Inside (Photos)

Source: tori.ng
The tomb believed to be the place Jesus Christ was buried has now been opened for the first time in 500 years.
The tomb was opened for the first time in 500 years

The tomb believed to be the place where Jesus was laid has been opened for the first time in centuries, The Independent reveals. The tomb has been sealed in marble since the 1500s in order to prevent visitors from stealing pieces as relics.
For decades, archaeologists and theologians have debated over whether the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem is the site where Christ was supposedly buried and resurrected after being crucified.
Over the preceding centuries, the famous church had been destroyed and rebuilt so many times that experts were left unsure about whether the tomb had been moved and what it might contain.
However, they have made shocking discoveries after lifting the tomb's marble for the first time in 500 years. Researchers were amazed to discover the limestone shelf where Jesus’s body was thought to have been placed, the Mirror reported.
Also discovered, was a second grey marble slab previously unknown to the researchers, engraved with a cross they believe was carved in the 12th century by the Crusaders.

Archaeologist Fredrik Hiebert of National Geographic, a partner in the project, said: “The most amazing thing for me was when we removed the first layer of dust and found a second piece of marble.
“This one was grey, not creamy white like the exterior, and right in the middle of it was a beautifully inscribed cross. We had no idea that was there.
“The shrine has been destroyed many times by fire, earthquakes, and invasions over the centuries. We didn’t really know if they had built it in exactly the same place every time.
“But this seems to be visible proof that the spot the pilgrims worship today really is the same tomb the Roman Emperor Constantine found in the 4th century and the Crusaders revered. It’s amazing.
“When we realised what we had found my knees were shaking a little bit.”
According to Christian scripture, Jesus died on the cross and buried for three days before rising from the dead.
Upon opening the ancient tomb, religious leaders from the Greek and Armenian Orthodox churches and the Franciscan monks, who share responsibility for the church, were the first to enter the tomb.

Mr Hiebert added: They came out with big smiles on their face. Then the monks went in and they were all smiling.
“We were all getting really curious. Then we went in, looked into the tomb, and saw a lot of rubble. So it wasn’t empty, even though there were no artefacts or bones.”
Researchers have been involved in discussions as to whether or not the tomb could be opened for vital repairs since 1959, but the committee has faced difficulty in coming to an agreement.
Mr Hiebert said: “Everything has to be approved by the committee, so even changing a candle takes a long time.
”There is a ladder by the main entrance to the church that hasn’t moved in 240 years and they still haven’t reached a decision. It’s called the immovable ladder.
“So the fact we were finally allowed to carry out this work is a triumph of negotiation.”
Experts used ground penetrating radar and thermographic scanners, conservation experts gathered information on the insides of the tomb before unsealing it. The data is so extensive it will take months to analyse, but the team hope to create a virtual reconstruction for public viewing.

Latest Gossip from Camer. The Evil that People Do..Writtam-pen is Back

 By Writtam-pen

Country people, I hope you have heard the latest? I hear manners have starting falling from heaven. Popol and Yang have decided to dole out CFA 2 billion as Christmas gift to lay private and denominational schools yet the Anglophone Teachers Union says nay to the gift. They have rejected the gifts on grounds that there are no legal bindings as well as mechanism for reinforcement. PM Yang spent two days in Bamenda to dialogue with Teachers, Lawyers, and Civil Society from 25th and 26th November 2016 but while back in Yaounde, Yang and his boss provided a very wrong solution to the problem posed by the leaders.
You know Popoul always thinks he is very smart when it comes to solving problems. He thought that by announcing that government will recruited 1000 “bilingual teachers” trade unionists will surely issue tons of motions of support to him or organize Thank You marches nationwide but he got it very wrong. Chai!!!!!! Cameroon is really a rogue state!!!! This regime is really good at creativity. While university students are still waiting for Chinese laptops, Popoul and co have introduced a new trick, android bilingual teachers. The question many have been asking is whether these bilingual teachers will come from space or Mars. Popular opinion holds that if there's anyone who is bitter about our president's cronies and takes some of the statements they make seriously and some of their rash decisions at heart, all you have to do is listen to the North West CPDM Elite(s) to realize that many of them are either joking or high on banana leaves and afofo... Na thing to just laugh!!!Who cares if CPDM march in Buea, they should not march but run. I remember the people marched against multi-party politics in this country?
Popoul is surely going to sign a devastating decree any of these days. Some of them will be sacked from government. Others will go on retirement. What is however very interesting is that PM Yang has started his cleanup on a left leg. What a kangaroo solution to the problem of Anglophones.
Country people have you ever seen where someone took petrol to pour on fire? That is what Nolava did in the University of Buea. Students were beaten, robbed in shit, cases of rape even reported. I doubt whether Nalova and Okalia Bilia will survive the storm in Popoul’s tea cup for transforming the university campus into a military camp. Teachers have issued a statement demanding their sacking as one of the preconditions.  Popol’s advisers are short of ideas; they could freely borrow from Mbangfon Nick Ngwanyam ideas.
I hear John Ntarinkon was very bitter about what transpired in Buea to the point he wants to make political capital of the incident. SDF senators, MPs and Mayors are waxing mussels to stage another peaceful march in Buea today. Hahahahahaha, your writtam-pen also gathered that John Ntarinkon has opted for Federalism as a panacea to the present deadlock. Don’t be surprised to hear that John Ntarinkon starts talking like SCNC activists. If it happens then Popol will only have himself to blame because John Ntarinkon has been very patient all this while. I saw sadness on John Ntarinkon’s forehead when gear gas was fired into his residence.
The Shakespeare mayor of Buea organized a public talk to calm tempers in Buea Just like John Ntarinkon and Lele did in Bamenda who asked for the unconditional release of Benji, the co-demonstrator of the Bamenda Coffin wahala.
The Bamenda man will never forget Mancho Bibixy and Benji like Late Pefok. I am struck by the telling points, to the effect that what we just witnessed. After all, what sort of plot doesn’t have leaders (or rather those who were described as such weren’t leading anyone), a common purpose, a plan or anything that could be described as a policy agenda.
What Fame Ndongo was trying to achieve was foul-tasting. The near impossibility of any purpose and the lack of tools to achieve them defined the uselessness of facts that this man whose name I have just forgotten is the first accused.  Do you know what happens around university cycles? The only plan that existed seems to have been an attempt to summon spirits from the vastly deep to get rid of the Anglo saxon sub system. But, though any man or woman can summon spirits, only an organised one can ensure they arrive. Now that Popoul is very disappointed with them, I am sure his signature will send some of them packing.  I really smell a cabinet shakeup. There abounds speculations and suspicions, dismay and dismal, surrounding this but even as the earth rotates into a new horizon oblivious of this occurrence in this tiny dot on the globe, there abounds the fact that a disturbing memory has been embedded in the minds of volatile witnesses in such a mystery that even Taylor swift would find it hard to shake it off.
The Nigerian Super Falcons flied the sky of Yaounde  to create the unexpected at the last minute chopping the Lionesses at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium to emerge champions of Africa for the 8th time. The presence of President Biya and wife, Chantou did not in any way intimidated Desire Oparanozie, who fired the lone goal that saw the Falcons beat the Indomitable Lionesses. I hear Cameroon lost at the finals not because the girls were not fit but that the Gods were angry following police and Gendarme brutality in Buea and Bamenda recently. While Nigerians take home the trophy to continue with the struggle with the economic crisis, Cameroonians were humbled out to face the social unrest. The evil that people do, live with them....

2016 AFCON Final: Why Nigeria’s Super Falcons Emerged Champion

The Nigerian Super Falcons flied the sky of Yaounde to create the unexpected at the last minute to crush the Lionesses at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium to emerge champions of Africa for the 8th time. The presence of President Biya and wife, Chantal Biya did not in any way intimidated Desire Oparanozie, who fired the lone goal that saw the Falcons beat the Indomitable Lionesses.  Florence Omagbemi, made history to become the first individual to win the AWCON as a player and a coach.
Critics are of the opinion that Cameroon lost at the finals not because they girls were not fit but that the Gods were angry following police and Gendarme brutality in Buea and Bamenda recently. While Nigerians take home the trophy to continue battling with the economic crisis, Cameroonians were humbled out to face the social unrest.

Gambia's President Yahya Jammeh Concedes Defeat After 22 Years of Rule

After ruling his country for 22 years, President Yahya Jammeh of Gambia has suffered a shocking defeat in the Presidential election.

President Yahya Jammeh

President Yahya Jammeh, who has ruled The Gambia for 22 years, has conceded defeat to opposition leader Adama Barrow, the chairman of the electoral commission said on Friday, AFP reports.
“It’s really unique that someone who has been ruling this country for so long has accepted defeat,” Alieu Momar Njie Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission told reporters.
This comes after the opposition candidate Adama Barrow took a massive lead after almost 75 per cent of votes had been counted in Gambian presidential voting, threatening President Yahya Jammeh’s 22-year-rule, the electoral commission said on Friday.

Above Fru Ndi's 4 States Federation: Teche Nyamusa Gives own Options

In the aftermath of November 2016 “Anglophone” lawyers and teachers strike, my party the SDF Monday November 28, 2016 at a rally in Bamenda re-echoed her long stated four states federation for Cameroon. The emphasis was laid by SDF senators, MPs, mayors and Chairman John Fru Ndi.
This manifesto which Fru Ndi has used as he stands for the Cameroon Presidency since 1992 till date has been a failure and is dubious for “Anglophones”. Nyamusa for 2018 presidency bid on the SDF ticket is all for a two equal status federal Cameroon. I, Felix Teche Nyamusa, am very convinced that Cameroonians will accept my explanation to go back to the proposed two equal status federal Cameroon of the dreams of President Ahmadou Ahidjo and Premier John Ngu Foncha. Fru Ndi is not ingenious and industrious enough to make Cameroonians see the natural rationale and harmlessness cum sustainability of the two states federation of Cameroon. The Nyamusa campaign has extensively communed with Cameroonians and is very certain that the country will be unanimous in its acceptance after due explanations. Thus amidst the common law lawyers, teachers of the English Sub system of education in Cameroon strike, the difference in our visions(Nyamusa’s and Fru Ndi’s) were further illuminated.
Permit us explain the words “Anglophone, Francophone” in the Cameroon context. An Anglophone Cameroonian is used here to be a citizen of Cameroon whose ancestry is from Northwest or Southwest regions. While a francophone is one originating from any of the remaining eight French speaking regions of the country. In 55 years, only two presidents have ruled the country (Ahmadou Ahidjo and incumbent Paul Biya) all of them francophone. Ministerial positions, directors and other high civil service positions are to a great extend not proportionally shared, between the two legal components of the country - defense, finance, territorial administration… ministries are considered a no-go area for Anglophones.
The common law practised by the Anglo-Saxon part of the country, the Anglo-Saxon education system are being increasingly adulterated by the French legal and education systems reasons for which the lawyers and teachers of the Anglophone set up are on strike. Lack of all-seasons transportation roads, lack of industries, unbalanced development ….Anglophones now see themselves as captured people and are decided not to continue under such systems. Concerned educated elite of the English expression quite aware of the right to self determination and are going for total independence from the union with La Republique du Cameroun. She (Anglophones) even question the legality of such union. Thus any other illogical arrangement apart of the two equal status federal agreement will infuriate the Anglophones who the Nyamusa for 2018 Cameroon president campaign had been persuading. Further belittling the anglophone by likening them to some portions of La Republique , heightens their self determination bid for independence. Hence the lack of vision and ripe judgment for a united prosperous Cameroon by the Fru Ndi leadership of our rallying grass roots party S.D.F.
The irony here is that despite the capital-toying with the Anglophones as a nation, the Biya CPDM regime also fails in giving the right development to La Republique du Cameroun. Francophone grievances include the C.P.D.M former (C.N.U) subjugation of U.P.C - the first pan Cameroon advocating party; the ill-treatment and suspicion of the northerners.
Hence the shabby treatment of the remains of pioneer head of state Ahmadou Ahidjo which remains are never permitted by the C.P.D.M regime to be brought from the Diaspora for befitting burial in Cameroon, talkless of grudges against the Biya /C.P.D.M regime money launder tradition!
My vision for Cameroon where the local or official language of each citizen can never be a barrier for progress; a vision where belonging to a minority or majority group, sex, religion…can never inhibit any Cameroonian from achieving his or her full potentials is intact .I/we will realize this through good governance application of due process of law and other democracy practices which I am ready to implement. We will create a constitution where any leader that torches on the unity foundation of Cameroon will be impeached!
For a people to progress in integrity there must be the exercise and fulfillment of agreements and truth. Contemporary Cameroon (our country) is made up of two former United Nations’ groomed states – former British Southern Cameroons and former French la Republique du Cameroon. These two in 1961 agreed to come together as two equal status federal states. But since after that 1961 agreement, one part (former British Cameroons) has been colonized by the other, more populated La Republique du Cameroon till date 55years after. The name the united country was expected to bear is Federal United Cameroon Republic but today, the country “Has Metamorphosed” bearing other names in the process till she has returned to La Republic du Cameroon, the name of former French Cameroons.
With equity, transparency, logical democratic governance, I, Felix Teche Nyamusa, SDF 2018 presidential hopeful (pending primaries) wishes we return to “Federal Democratic United Cameroon Republic” of two equal status states which is bilingual, bicultural and bijural. We therefore have a duty to convince “SCNC” an organization speaking on behalf of former British Southern Cameroons not to break away from the union for henceforth good governance, due process, transparent and rationale in all decisions taken, independent electoral commission …reminiscent of democracies like Canada’s, Switzerland’s, USA’S … with succeeding federal arrangements. This proposed setting will not harm anyone Anglophone or Francophone Cameroonian. In fact details of this Cameroon deeply reflected progress endeavor are contained in my manifesto for the 2018 presidential proposal found in the book “Effective Democratic succession in Cameroon”. The Ideology Neighbourhood/works of Felix Teche Nyamusa, SDF 2018 Presidential hopeful (pending primaries) which book is now available in bookshops in Cameroon.
May God guide SDF, Cameroon.

God Told Me Aliko Dangote Will Become Nigeria's President - Archbishop Amu

A Nigerian man of God has revealed in a prophecy that Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote would someday become Nigeria's President.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote
A former Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Archbishop George Amu, said God has revealed to him that Nigerian billionaire businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, will one day become the president of Nigeria.
The man of God who said the same God who told him that Donald Trump would become the President of America, revealed the latest prophecy to him.
He said just as he prophesied on the 21st of August as he celebrated his 75th birthday, then, that Trump would win America’s election, God has now revealed to him that Dangote would be Nigeria’s President. However, he did not mention when Dangote would become President.
Amu noted that the same circumstance that brought about the emergence of Trump, would play out in the emergence of Dangote as the President. He said Trump and Dangote have same similarities in that they are successful businessmen.
Amu further noted that God plans to use them to salvage their countries from problems.
Amu recalled that when he predicted Trump’s victory, no newspaper reported it, saying, “I even told my children to circulate the information on their Facebook but they declined. The same God, who revealed Donald Trump’s victory in the US, has also declared His intention to install Dangote as the future President of Nigeria.”
Dangote is Africa's richest man worth 11.6 billion USD. The 59-year-old is the owner of Dangote Group, a conglomerate which has interests in commodities.

AWCON: Nigeria to Battle Cameroon in Final

The Nigerian Super Falcons have excelled tremendously at the ongoing African football competition in Cameroon.

Nigeria's Desire Oparanozie in action

Nigeria’s Super Falcons last night silenced a boastful Banyana Banyana of South Africa with a 1-0 win to set up a date with hosts, Cameroon in the final of the Africa Women Cup of Nations.
Desire Oparanozie from the edge of the box powered home with a screaming shot that rattled the Banyana Banyana players to the bone.
They had come into the game strongly, causing some anxious moments for the Super Falcons. However, coach Florence Omagbemi kept urging her wards to calm their nerves.
The defending champions charged back at the South Africans with Asisat Oshoala asking some questions of the South African defence. But Banyana Banyana keeper, Priscilla Lebogang was proving key for her side as she produced a fine save to deny Nigeria a goal in the 25th minute.
The South Africans did have the ball in the back of  Falcons’ net just before the half-time break, but the effort was flagged offside.
After the break the Falcons piled up more pressure and in the 57th minute, Oparanozie scored the winner after Oshoala was brought down at the edge of the box.
Banyana Banyana almost got an equaliser but the Nigerian defence cleared their lines. South Africa will now face Ghana in the third place on Friday.
Cameroon had beaten Ghana 1-0 earlier in the other semi-final. It took 71 minutes of labour before the Indomitable Lionesses could break the resolve of the Black Queens of Ghana. Midfielder Raissa Feudjio scored the only goal of the match for the ‘Les Lionnes’ to deservingly book their place in the grand finale and continue their march towards a historic first ever title in the flagship women’s competition.

“I had a horror of what is to come with Trump… I threw away the (green) card, and I have relocated, and I’m back to where I have always been” — meaning his homeland Nigeria.
The renowned playwright and poet who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986 and has been a regular teacher at US universities including Harvard, Cornell and Yale said he wouldn't discourage Nigerians from acquiring a green card.
“It’s useful in many ways. I wouldn’t for one single moment discourage any Nigerians or anybody from acquiring a green card… but I have had enough of it,” he said.

Nkambe Council Budget Drops Drastically

Nkambe Council Council Budget Drops Drastically. Councilors of the Nkambe Council have adopted a budget of FCFA 659,727,700 for 2017 as compared to the FCFA 865,023,000 adopted for 2015. Though the witnessed a drop, Mayor Ngabir Paul Bantar revealed that the Council intends to increase the staff strength from about 63 to 100 next year. Councilors expressed their disgust over several issues such as the nonpayment of social insurance dues, seasonal workers and the inconsistency in revenue collected locally. Councilor Mohamadou Bawe said though the mayor has constantly dribbled the councilors, it is clear that things are not moving towards the right direction. He likened the mayor's ways to clarify pertinent issues to councilors to the football dribbles of Diego Maradona. He noted with dissatisfaction the fact that all efforts deployed by councilors to increase local revenue have not yielded enough fruits reasons why the budget has registered a drastic drop. On the available potential, Musa Shey Nfor debunked a statement that Nkambe potential stands at about FCFA 12 million. He unleashed that there are three markets in the municipality, he said that the Finance Committee investigated and got the statistics of the number of drinking spots in the municipality, the number cows which have moved from 16, 000 to 20.000 and that FCFA 12 million was very insignificant. On his part, Chifu David questioned whether it was proper for the council to pay staff and not pay their social insurance dues. Another problem was the nonpayment of seasonal workers recruited to work on rural roads. Councilors were disappointed that though the money was disbursed in form of credit card, the 10 seasonal workers have gone for 3 months without salary.
It should be recalled that councilors also opted that some staffs who received undue salaries will payback the money to the council. The amount is estimated at about 16 million FCFA. Donga Mantung SDO in his closing remarks said that the staff concerned should pay the money. Ngone Ndodemesape Bernard also warned against the issuance of fake birth certificates in the municipality. He congratulated the councilors for their maturity in analyzing the budget.
