Back2School 2023: Prof. Fuh Calistus Donates to, Pupils, Students, Schools in Ako



Interim Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, Prof. Fuh Calistus Gentry has donated books to support pupils and students in Ako Sub Division. The tons of book estimated in millions were shared to beneficiaries during a fun-filled event at the Ako Grandstand on September 1, 2023. The minister's donation ignited hope in many youths as well as teachers and also instilled euphoria at back to school. 
The distribution exercise was presided over by the Divisional Officer for Ako and he was flanked by the Mayor of Ako Council, Nkanya Godlove. Also present to add royal blessings to the gift of books from the minister were a college of tradirional rulers, as well as religious leaders. 
The educational institutions that benefitted from the minister's support are GSS Kuta, GSS Mbande, GSS Akwaja, GSS Nzebie, GSS Barabe, GSS Buku, GBHS Ako and GTHS Ako. The support is aimed at helping schools carryout teaching in an enabling environment especially in schools that were vandalized by separatists.
