On the recommendations of North West
Governor Adolph Lele Lafrique Divisional bureaus of the North West Fons Union-NOWEFU

adopt NOWEFU new constitution. The process started with the Menchum Fons Union
on April 30, 2016. Sources say following attempts by the outgoing executive of
NOWEFU to manipulate the constitution, North West Governor instructed all
senior Divisional Officers to adopt the new constitution in order to put an end
to the present stalemate.
The main aim we gathered is for the
traditional rulers to scrape the post of Honorary President General which
carries along with it sweeping powers.
It is expected that Fon Teche will hand
over power to the Fon of Nkambe soon. This is so because HRH Fon Ibrahim Japbfu
Nfor was endorsed pending elective general assembly. Sources say the 83 fons of
Menchum had endorsed the candidature of the fon of Nkambe, this The Eye
