Breakin News: Atlast Flavour Speaks out on his Relationship with Chidinma

Handsome Nigerian singer of South-east descent has discussed his relationship with singer Chidinma amidst other issues relating to music, family life and his lifestyle in a recent interview.

Flavour

Popular singer, Chinedu Okoli, aka Flavour N’abania, speaks to Tofarati Ige of Punch newspaper about his career.

Can you recall how you started your music career?

I have always loved everything about music from an early age. I actually started out playing drums for a live band at the age of 15. After that, I started playing the keyboard and from there, I began singing. I later got a scholarship to study music and that is how I developed as a musician.

What was the reaction of your parents?

You know parents are usually wary of the entertainment industry because they feel a lot of immoral things happen there. But the music scholarship that I got really helped me. It taught me a lot about the job and how to be a professional. I had a particular director who told me that people usually think that musicians are wayward, irresponsible and ostentatious. He also told me that if I want to make a difference in my career, I have to be responsible, disciplined, and constantly hone my skill. Talent is never enough as one has to put in a lot of work as well.

What was your experience like when you started your career in the eastern part of the country?

It was wonderful and I had a good time then. I used to perform with a live band at different places and people loved it. I was already popular in the East before I decided to relocate to Lagos and start afresh. I had to leave everything behind and start from the scratch in Lagos. I even had a car back then but when I came to Lagos, I arrived with just a bag. It was quite tough in the early stage but because I had made up my mind never to give up until I achieved my dream, I kept working hard at it. I’m thankful that I have become an international star now.

What are the qualities that have been working for you over time?

I would say it’s discipline, hard work and the grace of God. I know that I still have a lot of things ahead of me, so I try to manage myself. I don’t have to give all of myself now when I still have many more years to live. I also have to maintain the standard. Getting there is not the problem; it is about staying there, so I need my discipline game to be 100 per cent. I also ensure I work every day and give the people what they want to hear. Right from the onset, I have always sought to distinguish myself and set myself apart from the rest. I have never compromised on my originality and I always make sure that I am down to earth. If you look at all my albums, you will see that I keep improving. I strive to do better than what I had done before. And I believe that’s the secret to success; if you are original and humble, you will always be reckoned with. Even though the money is good, it is not really about that for me; I care more about the art. I work in the studio virtually every day.

What are you working on at the moment?

I will be releasing my fifth studio album soon.

Would you be having international collaborations on it?

Yes, there are some though I cannot reveal much about that for now.

What do you regard as your selling point as an artiste?

I think it is for the fans to say but I think it’s everything about me, Ijele.

You’re seen as some sort of s*x symbol, how does that make you feel?

It feels great and it is a motivation for me to keep working hard on my music and also my body. I visit the gym three times in a week even with my busy schedule. Though it is not easy, it is what I have to do.

Yemi Alade once said she has a crush on you, do you feel the same way about her?

Yemi Alade is a very fantastic talent and she is a hard-working woman as well. I admire her a lot as an artiste.

At a point, you were also quite close to Chidinma; is she someone you can date?

These people you are mentioning are colleagues that I respect a lot. We have had opportunity to work several times in the past and I wouldn’t deny that we have a good chemistry.

What’s your relationship with your baby mamas and children?

I have a wonderful relationship with my children and I love them so much. I am also on good terms with their mothers and everything is fine.

Do you sometimes wish things didn’t actually go that way?

There is no point regretting anything in life. Whatever will be will be. I can only do my best at all times.

What kind of woman does Flavour like?

I love a woman who is not fake; she has to be natural at all times. She has to be someone who knows the difference between Flavour and Chinedu. To cap it all, she must be God-fearing.

What’s the funniest experience you’ve ever had with a fan?

I have had so many crazy experiences with fans. But it’s all good because I know they appreciate me even though they could be crazy about the way they show it sometimes. The way they express it might not be the way one wants it at that moment but at the end of the day, it’s all about love. There have been times I go to some African countries to perform and the stadiums are usually filled up, with some people even crying. That makes me emotional because it shows that there is nobody that cannot make it, despite the background. I appreciate the fans always.

How do you prepare yourself before going on stage?

There’s no special preparation that I do. I always just try to be myself in whatever I’m doing. I just free myself and make sure I give the fans a good time. I have had a lot of performances over the years and I try to get better over the years. And I think I have been able to do well in that regard. I also love to perform with my live band whenever I can.

How do you draw your inspiration?

I get inspiration from the people around me. Right from time, I always relate with people who are older and more experienced than I am. That way, I get to learn a lot of important things. I like original and creative people who I can tap from. I also draw inspiration from the things that happen around me, or from what I read. I am never in a hurry when writing songs; I love to take my time and get it right. If I don’t feel a connection with the lyrics and beat of a song, I wouldn’t release it. I see a song as a piece of art or like when you are cooking a pot of soup. Every ingredient has to be in the right proportion for it to come out well. And that’s what I do.

What has stardom robbed you off?

Stardom has robbed me of a lot of things but I believe that, in life, there is no gain without pain. Ordinarily, I love to lead a simple life but that’s not possible anymore. As human beings, there could also be times that I’m dealing with some personal issues but people wouldn’t want to know. They would expect you to be smiling all the time; and if you don’t, they would accuse you of being proud and snobbish. But the beautiful thing is that I am living my dream.

Do you have plans to bring up new talents like some of your colleagues are doing?

Yes, it is something I have always wanted to do. But the industry is not well set up; the African music scene is still growing. I wouldn’t want to sign deals with people and have issues with them later.

What kind of issues?

It’s common around here to have contract breaches and other things like that. And there really isn’t anything in place to protect your investment.

How do you like to dress?

I always love to appear classy at all times. I also like clothes that show off my muscle because I do a lot of hard work to have bulging biceps.

Apart from music, what other interests do you have?

I love football and if not for music, I’m sure I would have become a footballer.

How do you unwind?

I watch football a lot and I also play video games.

Anglophone Crisis: Ntumfor Nico Halle Urges Gov't to Grant General Amnesty, Condemns Destruction of Property

Ntumfor Nico Halle
Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, the president of the General Assembly of Cameroon Bar Association, has declared that he us saddened with the precarious situation in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon. In an interview with the English Language Lone Daily, The Guardian Post, Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle frowned at the burning of school, markets and shops in North West and South West Regions. He expressed disgust on the fact that some individuals have taken advantage of the situation to stir trouble.  "I think that peace ought to return,” he is quoted to have told The Guardian Post. He equally expressed disgust on the incident in Bamenda where a female student was brutalized by some unidentified persons.
Harping on the importance of peace, Ntumfor is quoted to have said that: “In my peace crusade drive, I have been calling on the Head of State to grant general amnesty to all those arrested in connection with the crisis.” It should be recalled that he launched this crusade since January for peace to return in the North West and South West Region.

Nzoyoum Nicolas Appointed Permanent Representative for the CEMAC

Nzoyoum Nicolas
Before his appointment, Nzoyoum Nicolas was since 2014 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cameroon to the Central African Republic, with residence in Bangui. Following Presidential Decree n°2017/305 of 22 June 2017, Nzoyoum Nicolas was catapulted to the position of Permanent Representative of Cameroon in the CEMAC. He is a very experienced diplomat who has served Cameroon in various capacities both at home and abroad.
Indian philosopher, PR Sarkar, developed a new science of society that was neither solely past-oriented nor present oriented. Sarkar’s goal was to embark on a balanced institutional art whereby silenced voices are given room to be heard and out of sight structures given the opening to be known. That theory brought to limelight those who have been doing great things silently. The unsung heroes and or silence achievers we can call them for they are people who think and act for the betterment of society. They are the good grains of the future on which society can rely on in order to face the numerous emerging challenges. If history,  as they say is sprinkled with the legacies of the few unique and courageous individuals, one of such personalities who has stood tall in the madding crowd as great diplomat and God-fearing person  is Nzoyoum Nicolas. The first time I met him in Yaounde, we would very often describe him to his kids as “the smiling preacher and diplomat,” and what I still remember is that he was like returning to the good old gospel that truly gives life a meaning. Like Paul of old, every truly evangelical pulpit must sound out the clear message of “repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21).
This appointment by the head of state is actually taking Nzoyoum Nicolas into history books as a role model. If Aristotle, the greatest philosopher who introduced the concept of role models in society argued that human race without exceptional characters is like a ship without a captain. There is no doubt that Aristotle was talking of people with exceptional characters like Nyozoum Nicolas.
From his diplomatic experience and his ability in spreading the message of God (though I observed while still very young and waking up to life), Pa Nzoyoum as we fondly called him has shown that he is an amazing character, embodied with an unalloyed modesty, vigor and bouncing enthusiasm to impact society. He is a great man some of us would always look up to as a Role Model and an Exemplary citizen. The most interesting thing about this great diplomat is that he believes like Martin Luther King that “working is praying” and by so doing, his human and divine acts overrides, the human one bringing him closer to God and people.

Trump Finally Concedes Russia Meddled in U.S Presidential Election

President Trump had previously suggested that the questions about Russia's involvement in the election were overblown and "fake news" until recent times.

President Donald Trump

The White House Thursday addressed the joint intelligence report that found Russia had attempted to interfere with the 2016 presidential election, more than five months after the report’s conclusions were made public.

First, on Twitter, President Trump dismissed the concerns about Russia as a “big Dem HOAX” and suggested that his predecessor, President Barack Obama, did little to confront the problem. White House aides then clarified Trump’s remarks and said he believes there was Russian meddling but is certain it did not affect the outcome of the race.

Trump had previously suggested that the questions about Russia’s involvement in the election were overblown and “fake news.” As recently as Tuesday, press secretary Sean Spicer declined to answer a question at the White House briefing about whether Trump believes Russia interfered in the presidential race. Spicer said he and Trump had “not sat down and talked … about that specific thing.” Spicer and his deputy, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, frequently deflect questions about contentious issues by saying they haven’t spoken to the president about them.

The public version of the intelligence community’s election assessment, which was released in January and was compiled by all 17 of America’s intelligence agencies, concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally ordered the campaign interference. According to the report, the Russian effort included email hacks on the campaign of Trump’s Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic National Committee.

The agencies said information from those hacks was released to hurt the Democrats and boost Trump, but the report specified that it “did not make an assessment of the impact that Russian activities had on the outcome of the 2016 election.”

On Thursday, shortly before Sanders was scheduled to hold a briefing, Trump sent out a series of tweets about Russian intervention where he described it as “a big Dem HOAX!” and a “big Dem scam and excuse for losing the election!” Trump pointed to the fact the DNC did not turn over its computer servers to the FBI to look at for evidence.

The bureau has said it was able to get the information it needed from computer security firms that analyzed those servers. Trump also alluded to former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson’s testimony before the House Intelligence Committee where Johnson said he was not aware of evidence Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia.

In the Thursday briefing, Sanders was asked whether Trump’s tweets were meant to dispute the intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia interfered in the election. She referred to prior statements from Trump and said he was clear it “probably was Russia.”

“I believe that the president said even back in January and I’ll read the statement from then, that he thinks it’s a disgrace, thinks its an absolute disgrace. ‘As far as hacking, I think it was Russia, but I think we also get hacked by other countries and other people,’” Sanders said. “I think he’s made it clear and been consistent that, while everyone agrees the result of the election wasn’t influenced, he thinks that it probably was Russia.”

The intelligence community report did not include any assessment of whether Russian hacking actually influenced the election result.

Sanders went on to say Trump is very concerned about protecting “the integrity of the electoral system” and pointed to his support for voter identification laws and a commission on “voter integrity.”

Yahoo News asked Sanders if in dismissing the hacking issue as a “big Dem HOAX!” Trump was implying that members of the intelligence community who compiled the report had colluded with the Democrats. Sanders clarified that Trump was not referring to the “hack itself” as a hoax, and that his tweets were directed at insinuations that the Russian intervention called his election victory into question.

“I think that the reference in the hoax is about the fact that they’re trying to delegitimize his win in the election process and less about the hack itself. I think he’s said several times now that he believes that Russia was part of it,” Sanders said.

“Some of those same members have said that they don’t think it influenced the election, and I think that’s what a lot of this process is about. It’s about trying to make excuses for why Democrats lost and the president … has been pretty clear on where he stands with that.”

U.N.: Global Population to Reach 9.8 Billion by 2050

June 22 (UPI) -- A United Nations report says the world population will increase to 9.8 billion people by 2050 despite a nearly global decrease in fertility rates.
The global population increased from 7.4 billion in 2015 to where it stands currently at 7.6 billion, the United Nations said on Wednesday.
"With roughly 83 million people being added to the world's population every year, the upward trend in population size is expected to continue, even assuming that fertility levels will continue to decline," the World Population Prospects: The 2017 Revision report by the U.N.'s Department of Economic and Social Affairs said.
At the current rate, the world population will increase to 8.6 billion by 2030, 9.8 billion by 2050 and 11.2 billion by 2100.
India, with a current population of 1.3 billion will surpass China, with a current population of 1.4 billion, as the most populous country in the world by 2024. By 2050, Nigeria, currently ranked seventh, will surpass the United States as the third most-populous country.
Part of the growth is expected to come from the 47 least developed countries, where the fertility rate is about 4.3 births per woman. The population of those countries is expected to increase from the current 1 billion to 1.9 billion by 2050.
The population of 26 African countries will likely at least double by 2050, the report indicates.
Nearly all regions of the world have experienced decreased fertility rates, including in Africa where fertility rates decreased from 5.1 births per woman in 2000-05 to 4.7 births in 2010-15. Europe did not follow the same trend; the birth rate there increased from 1.4 births per woman up to 1.6 births during the same periods.
"Even assuming a continued decline in fertility, given this relatively high starting point, we should anticipate a continued rapid growth of the African population, which will roughly double in size between now and 2050," John Wilmoth, director of the U.N.'s Population Division said during a presentation. "Fertility levels in the other world regions are in an intermediate range between those of Africa and Europe."

Apostle Suleman Warns President Buhari Over this Sad Development...See Details

President Muhammadu Buhari has been given a note of warning by the Founder of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman over a very important national issue.
Founder of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman

Founder of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has expressed outrage at the removal of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) as a subject of study from the secondary school curriculum, describing it as a move by President Muhammadu Buhari to Islamise Nigeria.

According to DailyPost, the man of God made his view public in a statement issued on Sunday by Phrank Shaibu, spokesman of the church.

Apostle Suleman, stated that the decision to scrap CRK as a subject in the curriculum but only to be studied as a theme in civic education while leaving Islamic/Arabic studies as a subject to be studied in the secondary school curriculum, is a deliberate plot by the Buhari administration, among other schemes, eliminate Christianity or at best reduce it to insignificance in Nigeria.

“The new curriculum which is the brain-child of the Nigerian Educational Research Council and which is mischievously crafted to force Islamic Studies down the throat of non adherents is unjust, discriminatory, a subtle attempt at islamization, and therefore unacceptable,” the statement said.

“This is a well orchestrated and articulated plot. Let nobody try to fool Nigerians that it was a mistake or a coincidence. Why is it that CRK would be removed as a subject to be studied from the secondary school school curriculum while Islamic/Arabic studies is retained? This is a plan from hell and it shall not stand”, he declared.

Apostle Suleman also noted that the policy has been introduced at a time when Fulani herdsmen are on rampage in parts of the country and just before so called Arewa youths gave Igbo people living in the North to quit before October 1.

“Over 7000 people have been killed by these Fulani herdsmen with our security forces unable to stop the bloodshed. So called Arewa youths backed by some discredited elders have also issued a treasonable ultimatum to Igbo people without any reprisals from the Buhari government. So, is it a coincidence that Christian Religious Knowledge has been expunged from the school curriculum?” he queried.

Apostle Suleman called on the Federal Government to reverse the “offensive” policy and immediately restore Christian Religious Knowledge to the curriculum while commending the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for being at the forefront of seeking to redress the anomaly.

“This evil policy must be reversed immediately. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Christain Religious Knowledge (CRK) must be restored to the school curriculum. And I’m happy that the CAN has taken up the battle to ensure that those who seek to banish our faith do not succeed. We will continue to speak out until satan and his agents are put to shame”, he declared.

Similarly, he called on the government to stem the tide of consistent attacks by Fulani herdsmen as well as deal with those giving ultimatum to people from an ethnic group to vacate the north.

“For long, Fulani herdsmen continue to kill, rape and burn people’s homes without restraint. In the event that the safety of an ethnic group cannot be guaranteed in any part of the country, then Nigerians should know that it is not a coincidence. And my God shall not fold arms while the devil and his children seek to destroy the destiny of Nigeria”, he declared.

“We have the strength of character, the courage and the conviction to mount a sustained campaign in defence of justice, and in defence of our religion. We will not give up our religious practice because of someone else’. Nigeria belongs to us all and not for a few bigots who currently occupy positions of authority,” the cleric added.

It would be recalled that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) had earlier complained about the development during its meeting with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The delegation led by its President, Rev Dr Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, also listed demands on the matter and other burning issues in a letter delivered to Osinbajo.

Beyonce and Jay Z Welcome Set of Twins

Entertainment Power Couple, Jay Z and Beyonce have welcomed a set of twins, a couple of years after their first child, Blue Ivy, multiple sources have confirmed.

Jay Z and Beyonce

Music's royal family has officially grown by two.

Beyoncé and Jay Z welcomed twins earlier this week at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to sources.

The new bundles of joy are Jay and Bey's second and third children, joining 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

Beyoncé, 35, announced her pregnancy in February by sharing a glamorous Instagram photo of her burgeoning baby bump.

The 22-time Grammy winner wrote at the time that she and the "99 Problems" rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, had been "blessed two times over."

"We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes," she captioned the Instagram snap.

Pregnant Beyonce

Beyoncé debuted her baby bump weeks later at the Grammys, where she captivated the audience with a slow-paced, visually eye-popping performance celebrating the wonder of motherhood. During the elegant presentation, Beyoncé was clearly pregnant in a form-fitting dress and veil as she belted "Sandcastles" and "Love Drought" from the comfort of a chair.

She had been scheduled to headline both weekends at the Coachella music festival in Indio, Calif., but was forced to cancel after doctors advised her to take on a less rigorous schedule as she neared the end of her pregnancy. Perhaps that's why she was also notably absent from the Met Gala weeks later, where for years she's been known to close the red carpet with a show-stopping look.

The Carter family

Beyoncé continued to share photos of her precious baby bump with fans on social media, including a few that showed her wearing a shirt that reads "Preggers" at the beginning of May.

The songbird and the now 47-year-old Jay Z welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy in a luxury suite at Lenox Hill Hospital in February 2012. The much-ballyhooed birth caused quite a commotion, as other new parents said the famous family’s security made getting around the hospital impossible.

The singer and her husband are the latest celebrities to welcome twins, joining a list that also includes Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, as well as Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. George Clooney’s wife Amal recently gave birth to twins — a boy and a girl — as well.

Checkout These 4 Things: If You Want to Make Money Online Through Blogging?

If you have always dreamed of having and managing your own blog, you need to go through this list of things no one tells you about the business.

A lot of people don’t recognize and hardly understand the intricacies of blogging. Some go as far as dismissing it as some kind of hobby, rather than recognizing it as the business it is.

Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, shares 4 things nobody tells you about blogging.

Blogging is Not Some Get Rich Quick Scheme

It’s nice to hear about blogs that charge thousands and hundreds of thousands for publicity or adverts of any kind. But what most people don’t get is that blogging is hard and it takes a lot of time and patience to be read widely enough to get noticed by firms, corporations and companies for publicity and advertisements. Most of the widely read blogs today took months, even years of consistent and tireless effort to get to where they are today and have the kind of recognition they have. Blogging is hardly a get rich quick scheme.

Blogging is Not That Easy

There is a general belief that running a blog is what you do when you either don’t have a job or don’t have anything better to do. Many believe it’s easy and requires little or no effort. That’s inaccurate. Aside having to constantly come up with interesting and engaging content for your blog (almost every hour of the day if yours is a news blog), you also have to consider the mails, questions and comments that you always have to attend to, to help drive engagement on your blog. Eventually, as your blog grows, you’ll realize it’s hardly something you can do on your own.

A Blogger is Not Only a Blogger

As a blogger, especially when starting out, in order to grow your readership you are going to feel the need to be a web designer (trying to find the right web layout that will be attractive and user friendly), a social media strategist (ensuring you use social media to get as much publicity for your blog as you can), an SEO specialist, a web marketing guru and an amateur photographer all at the same time! It’s a lot. You might not exactly be a professional in all the above mentioned areas, but you have to be able to handle them well enough not to suck at it and to help grow your blog’s readership.

The Business Side

Many people tend to underestimate or don’t understand the business side of blogging. They either start demanding for money too soon or are completely clueless about how sponsored content works around the policies of the corresponding firms, corporations and companies.

A good number of people don’t realize that some brands or companies have payment terms of ninety days; meaning even after doing publicity for them, you might not get your payment until after three months.

Some brands also have you working on sponsored content and you will have to send them draft upon draft till they like what they see. Since you’ve likely already signed a contract with them, you really don’t have much of choice. It is important to recognize the business side of blogging and try to understand it before going into it.

900 Migrants Journeying to Europe Rescued Off Libya

Close to a thousand African immigrants who are escaping to an illusive greener pasture in Europe have been rescued by authorities.

The Libyan coastguard has rescued more than 900 African and Asian migrants attempting to reach Europe, a navy spokesman said on Saturday.
“A coastguard patrol from Zawiya (west of Tripoli) intercepted five inflatable boats and a wooden vessel carrying 906 migrants at dawn on Friday,” General Ayoub Qassem said.
He added that 25 children and 98 women, including seven who were pregnant, were among those rescued.
“One of the rubber boats was holed and on the point of sinking, while the wooden one did not have a motor,” he said.
People traffickers have exploited the chaos in Libya since a 2011 uprising toppled and killed strongman Moamer Kadhafi to boost their lucrative but deadly trade.

World Beer Day: Seven Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Beer

As the celebrations marking the World Beer Day spill over to Friday, a weekend when many people let down their guards, loosen their belts and gulp down their favourite drinks, you need to know certain bizarre facts about the world of beer in general.
File photo

• In the 1980s a beer-drinking goat was voted mayor of a US town

Frustrated by corrupt politicians, the good people of Lajitas, Texas, United States of America, elected as their mayor a well-known local goat, Clay Henry. Clay was famous for wandering into taverns (beer parlors) and slurping beer from customers’ glasses. He was known to have signed at least one piece of real legislation with his hoof. He however died after an altercation with another goat.

• Beer comes in varieties and alcoholic contents you probably didn’t know about!

Yes, beer comes in so many different forms and some of them are downright bizarre. They include beers made with unexpected ingredients that include Bhut Jolokia (aka ghost pepper), blood oranges, glitter, pizza, chilli, chicken, avocado, etc. One of such brews even contains 60% alcohol! And another contains whale testicles that are smoked with burning sheep poop!

• Beer was once safer to drink than water

In Medieval times, beer was safer to drink than water, even though it was partly made using water drawn from the river. But the boiling and fermentation process neutralised most of the nasty microbes. Meaning it was safer, even for kids – and probably helped them sleep.

• In 1814, London suffered a Great Beer Flood

Just over two centuries ago, a giant vat of porter exploded at the former Horse Shoe Brewery on Tottenham Court Road. Over a million litres flooded the cobbled streets. It drowned eight people in what was then a densely-packed slum.

• Civilisation is literally founded on beer drinking

Some academics have argued that ancient nomadic goatherds, who roamed far and wide seeking fresh pasture for their flock, only settled permanently for one reason — so they could carefully cultivate, harvest and ferment barley.

• President Franklin D. Roosevelt ended Prohibition

The Prohibition was a naive and short-lived experiment when the US government attempted to ban all alcoholic drinks. His immortal words when the legislation passed in 1933? ‘What America needs now is a drink.’

• Even your dog can sit by and enjoy his beer!

Some beers are made using specially brewed combinations such as beef extracts and chicken to create the perfect pint for your pet. Just that all dog beers contain zero per cent alcohol, meaning it’s not like your beer.

Venus, Serena William's 75-year-old Father Moves to Divorce His Wife

The father of World Tennis Star, Serena Williams, has moved to divorce his wife who is way younger than he is.

Richard Williams alleges Lakeisha left him for 'a new person'

Richard Williams, the 75-year-old father of tennis champs Serena and Venus Williams, has filed for divorce from his much younger wife in West Palm Beach, Florida.
According to Daily Mail UK, in his petition, the 75-year-old tennis coach often credited for training his daughters in their younger years and laying the foundations that eventually made them into tennis superstars, believes his 38-year-old wife of seven years, Lakeisha Williams, is an alcoholic.
He also claims she is stealing his social security checks and transferred ownership of their cars and a house to herself by forging his signature.
Williams, who married Lakeisha in 2010, also claims she moved out last year and left their now 5-year-old son, Dylan, in his exclusive care. Lakeisha is barely older than his two two daughters - Serena is 35 and Venus will turn 37 on Saturday.
Richard Williams also alleges she left him for 'a new person' who has 'serious criminal, felony charges pending who could impose a danger to the minor child,' the document reads. When reached on her cellphone, Lakeisha said she couldn't talk and hung up. But Sandy Becher, her Miami lawyer, called Richard's petition 'outrageous.' 'We categorically deny each and all the allegations he has made in the petition,' Becher said. 'When the issues come before the court, they'll be proven to be patently false.'
DailyMail.com called Serena and a woman claiming to be  one of her assistants picked up her cell phone and promised to leave a message for Serena to comment.
Richard is currently overseas and didn't return calls for comment and neither did his lawyer, Reginald Sessions.
The divorce petition, however, alleges plenty about his relationship with Lakeisha, and includes an unusually graphic litany of complaints against Lakeisha, a nurse's assistant by trade.
In asking the judge for a parenting plan, court papers allege: 'The husband is concerned that the wife is addicted to alcohol.'
The petition also accuses Lakeisha of failing to keep a schedule, picking up Dylan after his bed time then returning him to Richard in the middle of the night.
The document adds she allegedly lives with an unsavory character in an atmosphere that's not conducive to raising a child.
Richard says this wife abandoned the marital home in August 2016 and left Dylan in his care.
Since then, he claims, Lakeisha ripped him off in several ways. She transferred the deed of one of his homes to herself by forging his signature, and then took out a $152,000-mortgage on it after, again, imitating his writing.
Actually, Richard has filed a separate lawsuit against her to reclaim the West Palm Beach house, which he says he bought with ex-wife Oracene Price in 1995.
Lakeisha allegedly transferred the titles of multiple cars to herself, took money out of their joint bank accounts and accounts he owned alone, and took some of his social security payments.

Best Place to work in the World: Meet Radomir Novakovic Cakan Who Sends Employees on Vacations, Gives Them Free Cars

A successful businessman has been found out to be so generous to his employees that he gives them free cars and sends them on vacations.

Radomir Novakovic Cakan
Radomir Novakovic Cakan is a successful businessman from Montenegro, who has earned himself nicknames like “the best boss in the Balkans” and “Brother” by being incredibly generous to his employees.
Cakan, who owns “Cakan Sports”, the largest sporting goods store chain in Montenegro, and recently went into politics, has been making news headlines in Balkan countries for years, but not for his professional success. He is best known for the generosity he shows his loyal and hard-working employees, and the close relationship he has with them. The businessman firmly believes that his company can only thrive if he keeps his employees happy, and to that end, he has offered the best of them some pretty unbelievable presents.
Radomir first surprised his workers back in 2012, when he offered four of them brand new cars – 2 VW Golf 6 and 2 VW Polo – complete with paid insurance. They were some of the oldest and most hard-working employees of Cakan Sports, and since the company had recently moved its operations on the outskirts of Bar, Cakan thought his best people shouldn’t have to struggle to get to work. “This way, they no longer have an excuse for coming in late,” the owner joked in an interview.
Radomir Novakovic Cakan and his workers
As you can imagine, the recipients of the generous gifts were shocked. “When we saw them, we were speechless,” Danijela Roćenović recalls. “While the boss was saying ‘this is a gift for you’, all I could think of was ‘this is not real, this can’t be happening to us’.
But this was just one of the generous ways Radomir Novakovic Cakan has rewarded his employees over the years. In 2014, after hearing that one of his workers had been saving up his paychecks so he could buy a ticket to the World Cup soccer final, in Brazil, he took him there himself, at his own expense.
A couple of year ago, he sent a group of 14 employees on exotic vacations to the Bahamas and the Seychelles, simply because “they deserved it”. Another time, he sent more of his employees on a luxury cruise on the Mediterranean.
Asked why he doesn’t use a cheaper means of motivating his employees, like a small raise or a cash bonus, Cakan had this to say:
“Money comes and goes, but memories are forever. I have a friend who runs a travel agency and I asked him what’s on offer and the prices, because I wanted to offer my employees a vacation. When they returned they were happier, and worked even harder. They showed me photographs, and we laughed together at their adventures.”
After getting lots of attention from news outlets both in Montenegro and neighboring Serbia, for his display of generosity towards his employees, Radomir said he was shocked by all the coverage.
“When a person is normal, this is big news,” the businessman said. “It surprised me a little, but I was happy about the positive feedback, as that is very rare nowadays, especially when one is in politics.”
Last year, Radomir Novakovic Cakan went into politics, becoming a councilor of the Municipality of Bar.
Although he has been actively working with authorities to make life better for the people of this city, his generosity once again overshadowed is professional activity. It was recently revealed that Cakan hasn’t cashed any of the 11 paychecks he was due – which amount to $15,300 – choosing instead to donate it to various charities. He also declined to receive a work phone and to have his travel expenses paid from taxpayers’ money.
Asked why many of his employees call him “Brother”, Radomir told a reporter that it was because “brothers always help each other”.
As is always the case with such positive stories, some people just can’t help spew a little vitriol. They accuse Cakan of being nothing more than a clever businessman who uses this so-called generosity to avoid paying taxes.

What You Need to Know About Male Menopause

Even though only women have been known to suffer menopause when they attain a particular age, Oladapo Ashiru, here, tells us how even men experience it too.
File photo: An old man

Andropause, also known as male menopause, is due to changes in the hormonal levels in men, which progressively decline with age. It is also characterised by the loss of testosterone, the hormone that makes men act like masculine.

Most men’s testosterone levels drop as they age – by about 10 per cent every 10 years.
However, some men are affected more than others are. The rate of decline varies from individual to individual. The loss of testosterone, which can happen to men as young as 35, is gradual with its levels dropping by one to 1.55 annually starting at about age 30.
At the same time, another hormone in the body called Sex Binding Hormone Globulin or SBHG traps much of the testosterone that is still circulating around the system and makes it unavailable to the body’s tissues to make them function properly.
Every man experiences a decline of bioavailable testosterone, but some men’s levels dip lower than others. It is estimated that 30 per cent of men in their 50s will have testosterone levels low enough to cause andropause symptoms.
Testosterone is one of the hormones forming the androgen panel or make hormones. According to the World Health Organisation, total androgen levels, not just testosterones, also affect male andropause as these hormones decline as men age.
A WHO study found that androgen levels of men aged 70 were only 10 per cent of that of men of 25 years. For this reason, some have described andropause as ADAM (Androgen Deficiency of the Aging Male).
Unlike women, men do not have a clear-cut signpost such as the stopping of menstruation to tell them they are in andropause. Instead, it comes as a gradual and distressful decline in their sexuality as well as overall energy with increasing moodiness. By the time most men are 40 and 45 or middle-aged, they have experienced some symptoms of andropause, which range from energy loss to depression to sexual dysfunction.

The bodily changes occur gradually in men and may be accompanied by changes in attitudes, moods, fatigue and a loss of energy, sex drive, and physical agility. Muscle mass and bone density decreases, and, just like women, men are prone to broken bones and osteoporosis.

Although Andropause is a normal part of ageing, that does not mean men should accept it as an inevitable fate. If left untreated, it can have severe medical consequences that go beyond the loss of libido. For starters, it can lead to osteoporosis and broken bones.

Testosterone is a hormone that is not only essential for normal sexual behaviour and for producing erections, but it also has many functions in a man’s body. It helps to build protein and it affects many metabolic activities such as the production of blood cells in the bone marrows, bone function, lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, liver function and prostate gland growth.

If testosterone levels are not adequately replaced, then many body functions may be adversely affected, leading to premature ageing and an unhealthy old age.

There is a need for all andropause sufferers to undergo a complete medical examination that includes laboratory tests and measurement of the male hormone panel to indicate the level of testosterone replacement that is needed. The principal hormones that would be tested are testosterone, thyroid, dihydroepiandrosterone and growth hormone.

Treatment will include a combination of testosterone replacement therapy, psychotherapy, herbs, diet and exercise, reduction in the intake of grapefruit, alcohol and fats since, according to Dr Stephen Suiatra, a cardiologist specialising in medicine, and author of “Heartbreak and Heart Disease”, the body’s aromatase enzyme turns testosterone into the female hormone oestrogen when certain substances like grapefruit, alcohol, and fat are ingested.

These catalysts – grapefruit, alcohol, and fat – turn on the aromatase enzyme, which decreases the testosterone level. On the other hand, to help in increasing testosterone production, Suiatra, who heads the New England Heart and Longevity Center in Manchester, suggests that taking zinc, vitamin E and such herbs as muirapuama, an L-arginine, helped to increase libido.

In the first line of treatment, multivitamins and vitamins A, B, C and E may be prescribed as well as 1000mg of calcium tablets a day to guard against osteoporosis. The calcium should, however, be taken with plenty of water to prevent kidney stones.

The best form of calcium supplements are the liquid effervescence tablets or the capsules. Exercise with a diet low in fat along with adequate sleep of at least eight hours a night will certainly be part of the doctor’s prescription as well as herbs containing plasma and maca.

The gold standard in andropause management used to be testosterone replacement therapy if was indicated by the results of the androgen panel test. The best form of testosterone replacement is through the skin using the bioidentical hormones. They bypass the liver and therefore are not able to create any toxic action on the liver as compared to the oral replacement. This will be administered by one of the several methods that include injection, patches, gel or tablets.

Experienced doctors knowledgeable in this type of treatment must perform these replacement therapy treatments as inappropriately balanced prostatic antigen (PSA) levels can increase the risk of prostatic cancer.

Other risks associated with hormone supplementation, particularly with injections, include the risk of stroke, increase in liver toxicity and breast development not to mention the ironic shut down of sperm production that can result from testosterone supplementation.

The recent increase in prostatic cancer has made many men to shy away from the use of testosterone replacement therapy. This has now been replaced by a combination of protocols necessary to help in restoring good health and then re-energising the body system to achieve the desired goal of feeling youthful with increase vigour, vitality and erectile energy.

Such protocol will include the initial assessment of the health status, food intolerance, and other system disturbance. This is followed by the blood analysis of the various hormonal panels and cardiac panels. The individual is now made to go through a customised individual body cleansing and detoxification which will improve the efficiency of the alimentary system and restore more energy.

The protocol will include the use of additional equipment to improve the circulation to the reproductive organ such as the Physiotherm, Hypoxicator (used in getting rid of aging mitochondrial cells) and the scenar in addition to regular exercise. Once this is done the individual is given a number of orthomolecular supplements such as the bioidentical hormone replacement and herbal cream and capsules as well as vitamins.

The most individual may be able to report a much improved erectile activity following such protocols in Mayr spas.

South African Pastor' Continues His 'Miracles' After Accusing T.B. Joshua of Deceit (Photos)

The popular South African cleric nicknamed Snake Pastor has peacefully returned to his old ways after his controversial 'deliverance' sham with Prophet T.B. Joshua.

'Pastor Penuel Mnguni in action

Contentious Penuel Mnguni of End Times Disciples Ministries a.k.a ‘Snake pastor’ has continued with his "miracles" after accusing Prophet T.B Joshua of deceiving and tricking him.
Mnguni visited TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of all Nations in Nigeria allegedly on invitation before some church officials hijacked and threatened his life. According to Mnguni, a deliverance session was stagged and a script was read to him by a woman for him to recite.
After the viral confession/deliverance, the pastor said he was forced to say what he said because he feared for his safety in Nigeria.
The pastor who has since gone back to South Africa where he's based has continued with his "miracles" as he said nothing can stop him from 'going higher'.
Meanwhile, Mr. Joshua has refused to counter the claims of Mnguni who went as far as releasing a video to buttress his point during a pow wow.

Warmup to Confederation Cup: Columbia Beats Cameroon 4-0

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon yesterday suffered a four nil spanking from Columbia. The warmup test match ahead of the 2017 Confederation Cup in Russia turned out to disastrous for the current African champions. Colombians were so relaxed to the point that their centre back Yerry Mina scored twice.
James Rodriquez and Jose Izquierdo got the other goals as Colombia played a second match on Spanish soil inside a week after a 2-2 draw with Spain in Murcia last Wednesday.
Tongues are still waging as to what will happen when Cameroon will meet Copa America holders Chile in their opening game at the Confederations Cup in Moscow on Sunday.
A red card for striker Robert Ndip Tambwe three minutes into the second half when his team was already 2-0 down.
Rodriguez opened the scoring in the 16th minute, collecting the ball in the penalty area, after Juan Cuadrado’s initial effort had been blocked, and firing home from a tight angle.
Mina made it 2-0 from Rodriquez’s corner just past the half-hour mark with a powerful header.
He converted his second in the 51st minute after Giovanni Moreno squared a powerful pass from the left. Notwithstanding, soccer fans continue to seek solace on grounds that Cameroon used mostly it reserve players yet the question as to why the coach used team B players abound high among critics.

What to Do When Your Phone is Broken

There are some interesting and proactive steps to take after crashing an expensive smartphone which might cause the owner a headache.

A cracked screen or broken phone doesn’t necessarily signal the end of that phone, there are ways to make the best of the circumstance enough to get it to favour you.
Here are six useful things to do when you’ve broken your phone:

Get a screen protector

This is especially useful when your phone screen is cracked. Using a screen protector can help stop the spread of the cracking, and help maintain the phone long enough for you to change the screen or get a new phone.

Leave in raw rice

If your phone accidentally falls in water body and you are unable to get it out quickly, immediately turn it off, remove all removable parts, dry them off, stick the phone in some rice or a bunch of silica packets, and let it sit there for three days. Chances are you would be able to save the phone and continue using it to meet your gadgetry and telecommunication needs. For newer phones, you probably have nothing to worry about if the phone accidentally gets into water for a couple of seconds. But if the phone has been in there longer than its IP rating, then you can apply the above steps and pray it works.

Ask a friend for an old phone

If your phone is broken and there is nothing you can do to fix it, you can try asking for a friend’s old phone. Sure, it might be a much older and somewhat outdated model, but it will be able to meet your basic telecommunication needs until you are able to get a new phone. You can get a new battery for the phone so that battery-wise, the phone can function like brand new (that could offer some solace to you in the meantime). You can also consider using parts of the old phone to fix your broken phone, if there is a possibility to do that.

Attempt a repair

If you have the money and consider it worth it, you can give the phone to a technician to help repair it. It might not be so cheap, but it might be cheaper than buying a new phone all together. Do your research well and find good technicians that can help with the phone, not a charlatan that will attempt to use the outlet to milk you dry. In addition, if you are industrious, have the expertise and feel up to challenge, you can attempt to repair the phone yourself. You can use some Youtube DIY videos to guide you. You can save yourself some money in the process.

Sell the phone

You can always sell your broken phone. You definitely would not be able to get much from it, but you might be able to get a reasonable amount to recoup some of the money you have already lost. Do your homework, do the ‘maths’ and try to figure out the actual worth of your broken phone before trying to sell it (so you are not cheated and are able to get your money’s worth out of it). Besides, in doing so you might realise it is better to just fix the phone if you can. Also, if it makes financial sense, you can fix the phone and then sell it to maximise your gain from selling the phone.

Buy a new one

If you can afford it, and your phone is broken, you can buy a new one. You can gather some money together, and if you sold the broken phone, add the proceeds to this money you have gathered and get a new and probably better phone. It depends on you.

13 Things All Females Talk About When They Come Together

It is a widely accepted fact that the female folk talk a lot more than their male counterparts. These are some of the things they talk about when they meet up.

In no space will greater truths be exposed, like that of group of females having a catch up.

When it comes to having a chat with mates, we talk about everything and anything.

It’s not all offensive stereotypes like clothes and the Kardashians, but actual gritty topics like period flows, work sabotages and of course a lot about sex, penises and our latest food obsessions.

So next time you see a group of females innocently chatting away, they’re probably talking about how to efficiently pluck nipple hair.

1. Period problems

This is always a hot topic, and it is guaranteed that at least one of the contributors will definitely be on her period at the time.

This will be discussed in graphic detail, and topics will range from the gross period poo, the amount of blood, followed by a fierce debate on the classic tampons vs. pads choice.

2. General vaginal topics

Any new smells, discharge types or itchiness will be immediately consulted with friends before going to a doctor.

3. S-E-X

We are obsessed with discussing this with our friends. Who is having it, who isn’t, who is having it with who, and who is having it the best.

Sex toys, positions, how to guides, basically nothing is off limits.

4. There will be comparisons

We won’t just be comparing sizes and sexual prowess, but we’ll even compare how much nostril hair you had vs. someone else, and also how clammy your hands were.

5. Lack of equality

Until we stop being cat called on the way to meet our friends by creepy men, we will always discuss how the world still isn’t equal, and how we’re sick of it.

6. Work stuff

The topic is more likely to be about how you suspect your co-worker of secretly stealing huge portions of your peanut butter out of the work fridge, as opposed to power dressing.

Your friends will rally round you, and a former air cadet in the group will show you how to set up a booby trap in the fridge.

7. Gross beauty stuff

It’s not all ridiculous make up vides from Instagram, it’s actually more realistic and gross beauty tips.

Like the best time to pluck any nipple hair, and how to push every single blackhead out of your nose.

Oh, and the best way to remove dead skin off your feet. Lovely.

8. The travel dream

You end up having such a good time that someone suggests leaving the worries of life behind for a few weeks and going on a trip across Asia.

It is all going swimmingly well, and you are looking at all of the excursions you want to do, and then you realise you only have 71p in your bank account. Oh.

9. Followed by a holiday plan

The travel dream isn’t about to happen, but someone is intent on a weekend break to Marbella aka Marbs.

This results in a group chat being set up, with one solo friend who is frantically sending details of flights and hotels. This is met with silence, and you end up going nowhere.

10. How to avoid unnecessary things

How to maximise sleep and avoid showering with dry shampoo.

How to avoid body hair removal with strategic ripped jeans.

How to cut your own fringe.

If there’s a shortcut for something, someone will know it.

11. Social media round up

Yes we stalk away, and yes we screen grab and save the best bits to show our mates.

Because of course we want to discuss what our next door neighbours ex-boyfriend is now up to.

12. Latest social calamity

Someone will have encountered some awkwardness and will slowly whisper it to the group as a way to purge their soul of embarrassment.

Like when your friend tried to colour her armpit hair a snazzy turquoise, but ended up staining her upper arm area, and it looked as though she had severe bruising.

13. Food

There is a ridiculous stereotype that all we talk about is dieting. So wrong.

We talk about food, all types of food. There will always be someone banging on about the benefits of fruit smoothies, which will be counteracted by some absolute legend explaining the best technique to efficiently eat two desserts in one sitting.
