CPDM 38th Anniversary in Nkambe: NW Governor Guest of Honour




There was ecstasy and fanfare at the Nkambe Multipurpose all as North West Governor joins thousands of CPDM militants and sympathizers to celebrate it's 38 years of continued existence. Before the arrival of the August guest at the community hall, the sound of the drums, could he heard echoing into the hills of Binju, Kungi and Binshua and the lowlands of Njap and Tabenken. The euphoria was total when Lele Lafrique Adolphe, North West Governor arrived the ceremonial ground. Upon arrival, he was received by SDO for Donga Mantung Division, Mayor of Nkambe council and CPDM local party officials. The massive presence of over 15.000 people was a clear indicator that the CPDM is social gathering in Nkambe. 


The 38th Anniversary of the CPDM was celebrated in the Dong Mantung I (Nkambe) under the theme: “Rejocing, gathering and mobilizing behind the National President Paul Biya, in full awareness of the challenges and future electoral stakes” This theme, according to the mayor of Nkambe council, Musa Shey Nfor is a clarion call for the preservation and consolidation of the values of peace and stability which is a prerequisite for economic growth and sustainable development. A path which Nkambe has chosen which yielding alot of fruits in terms of development projects. He said the CPDM has achieved so much ranging from the provision of water in Nkambe town, construction of multipurpose hall, health centers, youth and women empowerment centers, opening of roads etc, the list is long. 
Speaking on behalf of the Section President, Tata Godlove Fai reiterated the general need of the people of Donga Mantung Division, which is the creation of the Far North West Region. This has been the desire of the entire population and that of Donga Mantung I Section, Nkambe led by Hon. Gerard Ngala, MP for Donga Mantung Centre. March 24th, 2023 was historic in Nkambe as activities marking the 38th anniversary celebration of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement in the Donga Mantung I section-Nkambe, brought together dance groups from Tabenken, Wat, Binka etc. More than 60 dance groups took to the stage to express gratitude to President Biya and North West Governor. Those who didn't have the opportunity to make speeches, had to express themselves in songs. The celebrations in Nkambe was more than a cultural fiesta as the dancing extended late into night fall. At the end of the day, a Motion of Thanks and Appreciation was issued thank President Paul Biya for upgrading the Nkambe district hospital to Regional Hospital Annex, the numerous development projects and more importantly, the much awaited desired Far North West region
