Ntumfon Franklin Ndzi Nformi (Ta Shey Frank) has been voted by readers of The Herald Tribune and honoured with an award as Community Icon of the year 2023 for his efforts on building peace through football. Franklin Ndzi Nformi has been at the forefront in promoting sustainable peace through Ta Shey Frank Football Tournament for Peace for four years nowm He received the prestigious award in Bamenda on Saturday April 29, 2023.during a funfilled ceremony. Speaking to the Press after the award ceremony, Ntumfon Franklin Ndzi Nformi expressed gratitude to members of the organizing committee of Ta Shey Frank Football Tournament for Peace as well as those who supported his efforts. He dedicated the award to H.E Shey Jones Yembe for his astute leadership.
He said peace is very vital component of development given that without peace, sustainable development will suffer.
It is worth mentioning that Franklin Ndzi Nformi is the founder of Ta Shey Frank Football Academy and doubles as President of Donga Mantung Strikers. As a practical inland fish farmer, he is also the President of Nkambe Central Sub Division Fish Farmers Cooperative.
