The high quality helmets were distributed to commercial motorbike riders in the entire Ndu sub Division on Sunday April 23, 2023 by the Mayor of Ndu Council, Abdou Borno Kanfon.
Before handing over the helmets to the beneficiaries, Abdou Borno Kanfon indicated that the gesture was from an apolitical elite of Ndu Subdivision who is only concern with matters of development. It is worth mentioning that Simon Tamfu Fai has been doing a lot for the Subdivision and will continue to do so. Some years back, he constructed a block at the Ndu District hospital. This symbolic gesture, the Mayor said, is a reminder from this illustrious elite that he thinks about the commercial motorbike riders, cares about their safety and might be coming in again to touch their lives in other ways in subsequent time.
The Mayor reminded the beneficiaries that although the quality helmets have as prime objective to protect the head in case of an accident, the best protection is in the mind when each rider is conscious enough to guard against excessive speed.
Through guidance from the Lord Mayor, beneficiaries were selected from villages and quarters around the municipalities to ensure proper representativeness.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the overall *"Achaba" President for Ndu Subdivision* thanked the donor immensely together with his team and unanimously wished the cheerful giver, Mr. Simon Tamfu God's abundant blessings. He promised total collaboration of the Achaba Union with the Ndu Council by ensuring the prompt payment of impôt liberatoir, accompanying the Mayor and the Council in all her endeavours and drumming up street support for the Mayor thanks to the marvellous works the Council under his stewardship has been able to realize for the community within a short while. These promises earned the support of his team through a thunderous applause.
The commercial motorbike riders of Ndu through their leader said they've heard a lot about the man with a heart of gold, Mr. Simon Tamfu and will love to have an opportunity to communion with him. They said they will love to include him to the list of providers anytime, any day with his approval; a request, the Mayor promised to channel to their charitable donor.
It was another great day at the Ndu Council premises this beautiful Sunday afternoon and the reassuring words from the commercial motorbike riders of Ndu thanks to this timely gesture from Pa Simon Tamfu was an indication that the sounds and rhythm of the New Team is resonating with the population in ways we cannot imagine.
