In  2008  school  activities  attempted  a  take  off  but  could  not  continue  due  to  the  fact  that  the  funding  provided  by  a  registered  British  Charity  was  discontinued  due  to  the  passing  on  of  the  lady  in  charge.

Hon. Cavaye Replies Overzealous Lekie Elite(s)

Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, President of the National Assembly (Pan), Cameroon, has sent a response to the ministers of the Centre region signatories to the so called “Lékié Memorandum on Boko Haram” on behalf of elite(s) of the Far -North the country. Hon. Cavaye has responded to accusations of a string of ministers from the Central Region, and Lékié Division who signed a petition addressed to Paul Biya, called "the Call from Lékié. " In their appeal, some elites stigmatized their compatriots from the north [composed of Adamawa capital Ngaoundere, North (Garoua), Far North (Maroua) to be local relays to Boko Haram. They described them as the instigators of the destabilization of Cameroon through a rebellion disguised as "Boko Haram Cameroon."
To many Cameroonians, this was inappropriate, counterproductive and dangerous given the current context, with the country's commitment in it crusade against the bloodthirsty terrorists, blind and lawless Islamist sect, common enemy countries that share borders with Nigeria.
Also, such a posture adopted by men visibly caught up with their antics and constant quest for political positioning, causing trouble in this nation made up of over 250 ethnic groups. "Political immaturity" say other observers, in an environment where Christians and Muslims have lived in harmony since time immemorial. So, Hon. Cavaye responded to the very serious accusations of his political comrades, for the people of Far North in general and the elite in particular, these allegations are accusations very serious. Better still, they are inappropriate, dangerous to the cohesion of Cameroon and harmful for national unity. The hints of stigma they carry to the place of brave, dignified and loyal son of the North, more call to the partition of Cameroon, to its construction, or the mobilization of all to fight against a common enemy called Boko Haram, wrote the third personality of the state.

School of Traditional Medicine Goes Operational in Bamenda Dr. Fru Says

Dr. Fru
On August 31, 2014, Dr. Fru Richard of the Garden of Eden during a briefing with journalists on African Traditional Medicine Day has declared that GENIWA will open it door to train interesting youths this year. Addressing media practitioners at Blue Pearl Hotel in Bamenda, Dr. Fru disclosed that this year’s celebration is commemorated under the theme, “Collaboration between traditional medicine practitioners and conversional medicine practitioners”.
He said during this year’s 12 anniversary, expectations are high that Government officials and traditional healers will share national experience on research and development of traditional medicine, strategies for a plan for utilising traditional medicine, understand progress made in regulation and institutionalising traditional medicine in health care delivery, to create a formal relationship between government and traditional health practitioners and to understand African traditional medicine profile. Yet, this was not the case given that during the Press briefing, there was no government official even though there is a department in the Ministry of Public Health in charge of traditional medicines. He regretted that this department has not been useful to researchers and practitioners given that “a day like this is supposed to be organized by them but I am the one doing it”.
He also revealed that it is for these reasons that they have decided to create a school for natural medicine in Bamenda. The school he added will go operational by October this year.
Harping on the importance of African traditional medicine, Dr. Fru said that statistics indicate that more than 80% of the population relies solely on traditional medicine as a solution to their health problems. In particular, the intricate relationship between African medicine and some officials in the Ministry of Public Health is making traditional medical practices key targets of attacks especially the so-called prosperity preachers, who considered many African traditional religious rites and rituals to be against Christian teachings and morals. Dr. Fru frowned at those who are trying to destroy traditional medicine. He told journalists that he has a collection of the list of those churches.
Holistic Health In traditional African societies it is believed that good health, disease, success or misfortune are not chance occurrences but arise from the actions of individuals and ancestral spirits according to the balance or imbalance between the individual and the social environment. At the end of the briefing, Dr. Fru said that they have removed traditional medicine from the mud and are on a crusade for it to gain its position in society. He expressed thanks and recognition to the World Health Organization for the trust they have in them.

Pastor Chris Denies Adultery Accusations, Threatens To Sue Journalists

Oyakhilome's counsel further said the media's coverage was engineered to bring him and the church shame and ridicule, though his wife was the person who aired the allegations against him. Earlier today, Wednesday, Mrs. Oyakhilome even told Premium Times, through counsel, that the marriage had "terribly degenerated".
Though not denying the growing divorce scandal surrounding him, the head pastor of Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has threatened legal recourse against journalists publishing stories about him and his wife, Anita's divorce.
The pastor, who spoke through his lawyer, Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), called the accusations of adultery a "false and malicious" attack against him and the church.
“The attention of our client, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, and the church has been drawn to the wave of false, malicious and fabricated stories being published in the print and electronic media about his person, the church and a matrimonial cause between him and his wife," his attorney stated.
Sharply criticizing the recent coverage of the divorce proceedings, which the statement did not refute, the release claimed that publishers went so far as to fabricate claims that he had committed adultery against his wife, Anita. These contradict her claims that the leader of Christ Embassy Church had indeed been unfaithful during their "terribly degenerated" marriage, something she disclosed through counsel to Premium Times earlier Wednesday.
Chris and Anita Oyakhilome Characterizing the media's coverage of his wife's efforts to divorce him as “complete distortion of the facts in the pending proceedings in the United Kingdom”, the statement cited the coverage as "selfishly motivated" for political and financial advantage.
The statement also acknowledged freedom of the press, but quite contradictorily cautioned that further action will be taken to safeguard the image of the church and the pastor if coverage continued. "Be warned therefore that unless the concerned media houses desist from further publishing words and stories which are false and damaging of our client’s reputation and the church, we shall, without further recourse to the concerned publishers, promptly embark on appropriate legal machinery with a view to protecting our client’s reputation and that of the church."
