Pogba Set To Leave Man Utd For Juventus

Paul Pogba wants to return to Juventus after becoming frustrated with life at Manchester United, according to Tuttosport .
The France international left Juve to rejoin United two years ago, but he is now ready to head back to the Serie A champions following their stunning capture of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pogba recently joked with France team-mate, and Juve midfielder, Blaise Matuidi about a potential return to Italy.
Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Alisson after agreeing a £66 million ($86m) fee with Roma for the Brazilian goalkeeper, Goal can confirm.
The Reds have been in intensive talks with the Serie A club this week, and now have permission to speak to the player about a move to Anfield. The deal would make the 25-year-old the most expensive goalkeeper in history.
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is closing in on a move to Real Madrid for €35 million (£31m/$41m), reports Marca . The Belgium number one has long been linked with a return to Spain to be with his family, after he spent three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid between 2011 and 2014.
With just a year left on his deal, the Blues will be forced to sell the 26-year-old at a relatively bargain rate rather than lose him for free next summer. Arsenal have offered Chelsea the opportunity to re-sign goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to the Daily Mail.
Cech spent 11 seasons with Chelsea before moving to the Gunners, who are looking to raise funds for additional purchases this summer.
The Blues are expecting to lose Thibaut Courtois this summer, and have also identified Kasper Schmeichel and Gianluigi Donnarumma as possible replacements.

Zidane To Join Ronaldo At Juventus

There are strong reports linking France football legend, Zidane with Italian football club giant, Juventus.

Zinedine Zidane

Zinedine Zidane is reportedly set to make a sensational return to Juventus as a sporting director, according to Spanish outlet, Libertad Digital.

Zidane resigned from his post as Real Madrid boss, after winning the Champions League title for a third successive year.

The Frenchman would be returning to the Serie A club 17 years after he left as a player, in a then world record €77.5m move to Real Madrid.

After hanging up his boots, Zidane worked upstairs at the Santiago Bernabeu, before replacing Rafa Benitez in 2016.

Zidane would work alongside current sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Paratici currently works alongside Beppe Marotta, the general manager, and the pair worked together to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin in a £88m deal.

Should Zidane join Juventus, it would see him back working in conjunction with Ronaldo again, with the pair aiming for a fourth successive European crown.

2018 World Cup Gist: Modric, Mbappe, Kane, Griezmann Win FIFA-Adidas Awards

Modric & Mbappe

The French team was not the only winners of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as the curtains were drawn on Sunday in Moscow. Other winners included Luka Modric, the magical midfielder for runners up, Croatia.
He won the FIFA Adidas Golden Ball award for  guiding his team, setting the tempo, and exploiting gaps in opposition defences. He proved equally effective in the final, dictating the pace as Croatia made a fast start to the match.
The Adidas Golden Glove award went to Thibaut Courtois, the goal keeper of third placed Belgium. FIFA said Belgium owed their historic third place as much  to the imperious Courtois as their incisive front line and tenacious defence. The imposing keeper made the most of his large frame and outstanding reflexes to come to his side’s rescue time and again. Beaten only once by eventual champions France in the semi-finals, he turned in another commanding performance in the play-off for third place.
The 19 year-old  French star, Kylian Mbappe, now being compared to the legendary Pele won the FIFA Young Player Award. The teenage prodigy did not disappoint in his first world finals. The 19-year-old drew gasps of admiration from the watching world with his bursts of acceleration and searing pace. In putting two goals past Argentina he became the youngest scorer of a brace in a World Cup knockout match since Pele in 1958, while his strike in the final sealed victory for Les Bleus.
Belgium’s Eden Hazard won  the adidas Silver Ball Award. Belgium boasted the most prolific attack of the tournament, scoring 16 goals thanks in no small part to the peerless Eden Hazard, who wreaked havoc in opposition defences with his bursts of speed and his silky running on the ball. With his two assists and three goals, one of them coming in the match for third place against England, he was the main architect of Belgium’s historic third place.
French hard working  playmaker Antoine Griezmann won the Adidas Bronze Ball and the adidas Silver Boot. The Atletico Madrid front man played a leading role in his side’s tournament triumph, scoring four goals and setting up another two, the best performance by a France player since Just Fontaine scored 13 goals at Sweden 1958. “My role has changed. If I score that’s great, but it’s not the most important thing,” said the left-footed striker before the Final, where his dead-ball skills helped Les Bleus win the day.
England captain Harry Kane, with a record six goals won the  adidas Golden Boot Award: Harry Kane provided proof, if it were needed, that he is one of the best finishers in the business, helping to fire England to their best finish, as semi-finalists, since Italy 1990. The Tottenham striker made a fast start to the tournament with a double against Tunisia and a hat-trick against Panama before converting from the spot against Colombia in the Round of 16.
Romelu Lukaku of Belgium, with four goals won the adidas Bronze Ball. With his brace in Belgium’s opener against Panama and another goal against Tunisia, Romelu Lukaku enjoyed the perfect start to the competition, though the goals dried up for him in the knockout phase.
Spain, who were despatched by hosts Russia in the Round of 16, won the FIFA Fair Play Trophy. While Spain had a disappointing World Cup, exiting the tournament in the last 16 against hosts Russia, they can take some satisfaction from their exemplary behaviour on the pitch, where they picked up just two yellow cards in their four matches and committed a mere 34 fouls.

Barack Obama Visits Ancestral Family in Kenya

Barack Obama

Barack Obama visited his father’s ancestral village in Kenya’s South-western Siaya County on Monday and danced to some traditional music with his grandmother in his first visit to the country since leaving office.
Obama is in Kenya to launch a youth centre set up by his half sister Auma Obama.
Kenyan television showed the former U.S. president pulling his grandmother Sarah Obama, clad in traditional garb, onto the dance floor and getting down to some music.
Obama, America’s first black president and a favourite in Africa, was also shown touring the Sauti Kuu Centre, sporting a casual white shirt and a pair of shades.
Locals hoping to get a glimpse of Obama lined the roads near the centre, with one school girl telling Kenya’s NTV “I’m happy to see our elder brother come today.”
After Obama arrived in the country on Sunday, he met with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who tweeted “It was great to welcome you back @BarackObama.”
Obama will head to South Africa on Tuesday to give a key speech for Nelson Mandela’s centenary – his first major public address since leaving office.
