A 23-year-old man, Paul Mwirigi defeated rival Joseph Mwereria
to win Igembe South Parliamentary seat in Meru County with 19,366 votes and has entered into records as the youngest politician in recent times in that country. Not only is Mwirigi a young politician, he is also a part time
Okada rider in Maua town anytime he's on holidays.
Mwirigi is also currently a third-year university student. His
campaign was financed by his supporters. He ran as an independent
